Trains at Wigan North Western, WCML - 05/03/20

Video: An afternoon spotting trains at Wigan North Western station situated on the West Coast Main Line, this spot features mainly stopping Avanti West Coast and Northern services (incl. some Northern services heading in and out Wigan Wallgate) and one northbound TPE service to Glasgow Central.

Being a Thameslink traveller I do miss the live sound of the 319’s AC motor when it used to changed from DC third rail. Such a lovely sound.

Whoever designed the layout of the 331s put the pantograph in the wrong place. In fact there is quite a few design errors with them.
I still like the noise the 319s make as they pull away, it is quite evocative. Some of the London Tube stock sounds quite similar.

Class 319? I thought they were over and got replaced from the 707

Gale_plays CHROMATIC they were Thameslink ones and they were replaced by 700s, then Thameslink gave there 319s to Northern and London Midland now LNWR.
