Thank you for this. I have one of these older thermostats and discovered, when changing the batteries, that it had been set up incorrectly the last time anyone fooled with it. I ran through the procedures with you, changed that switch on the back to "Electric or Heat Pump" - no idea why anyone would set it to "Gas or Oil" but they did - installed it back on the wall, and BINGO! Everything is working perfectly. This is an apartment building and I would have waited a long time for maintenance. Thanks for your help!

Thanks. You saved me from my sister's wrath - and the night before I have to have a biopsy. I live in 239 but I am visiting in 718 and she is freezing me out. I inadvertently ended up in "setup" mode and could not, of course, find the manual. Your instructions were great. I really appreciate your being there.
Thanks so much for this; we were having a heck of a time figuring out how to switch from F to C. The current manual doesn't have anything on it about how to do the settings you showed.

RECALL THESE . AND MAKE IT MANITORY TO REPLACE ! JUST LIKE THE CHIPS . MAKE THESE TO WHERE THEY CANNOT BE HACKED.
Is this person tech savy? Maybe try pro 8000 thermostat. You can preset
Temperature to the desire set point, and fix where it will go back to the set point after a few minutes. There are inline sensors I am not sure that will work? Hope tis helps.

Please put the numbers and what they are for in the description, cannot find that manual online for some reason. Example: 9-time between... 15- time compressor.....
The number 9 selection (compressor cycle rate) IS NOT 3 minutes like you said. It referring to number of cycles per hr not minutes. That would mean the compressor will be allowed to turn on 3 times in a one hour period. I suggest changing it to 5 or even the max of 6. If you are living in a poorly insulated home or trailer on an extremely hot day your unit may need to cycle more than 3 times in an hour to keep the home at satisfied temperature.

@@jonesacnaplesI set up how you showed here. But then it goes to a screen that shows 70 test? And 71, 72, 74, 75. Some have numbers to the right like the 75 has a small 21 then test. What do I do on those screens?

recently my family and i have been having major issues with a very annoying person in the family who wants to turn the heat up to 78 when we all sleep, we all wake up burning up and ive even tried a thermostat guard, it got broke.

My heat- off-cool button is stuck. It will go the left towards cool, center, but won't go to the right (heat) when pushed. Any ideas?

We changed the batteries in ours and now it has confused the system and won't work? The 'Cool On' keeps blinking slowly off and on. Any ideas as to how to fix this?

@@ImTheFascination Kind of. I attempted to *undo* my mistake. So, I slid the 'System' knob to 'off', removed the panel, then took out the batteries, and I waited a few seconds. Then, I replaced the batteries, plugged the panel back into the wall mount, and slid the 'System' knob to 'on'. The same issue came up but resolved itself after about 30 seconds.
