It would have been good to see how it cuts after the fix, I have one that oscillates but doesn't cut as it should and that's with a new blade.
Found a Makita DTM50 on the beach, amazing I know. Used liberally amount of WD40 but as expected it seems seized, will open it up as I have this to refer too. Thanks in advance, here's hoping. 🙂
Nice editing with the picture-in-picture! Double the information in half the time.
Work of art mate keep it up !
good job
Hello, I found your video very interesting, I was wondering if u know why the overcurrent control board, the silver box keeps on red at all times, even after a day or two without use and battery is fully charged?
Thank you.
sounds like something inside is faulty could be Jamed up or a motor fault.
Hi.
Mine is quite loud.
Works absolutely fine but sounds like a moto × bike .
I needs some grease but thay are a bit loud anyway.
Very good job, thanks, my Dewalt is cutting weaker.
Great vid. How did you get the shaft out?
2 one can be converted into grinder or a wire grinder
Good video but it is a bit frustrating when things are happening just off screen. I will show my ignorance here and ask what does it do?
how do you refit the silver ring with the 2 holes?
Mine has the problem the second one has 😕 it’ll run then stop right way
How did you get the shaft to go back into the gearbox. Mine does not line up correctly as it will not move the head back and forth. I can't figure out how the 2 arms in the gearbox interact with the oblong wheel. They just don't seem to line up so therefore the head doesn't move.
the input shaft should spin and that motion should make the output shaft oscillate. watch to the end I show more of the gear box later on in the video.
Can you buy the broken part in the gear box?
yes you can.
@@FINDITFIXITRESTOREITBUILDIT do you have a link or part no. /

I do not see anywhere on the parts diagram for this part that broke. The link is for an external cap.
I have the quick release version which isn't to old and it has developed an issue where the blade is loose, is this a common problem
not one I've come across. there must be a way of tightening it. try a new blade if it's under a year old exchange it under warranty.
Where did you buy the replacement parts online?
ebay
How did you open the gearbox??
I show it in the video
Hi
I need to know, how did you open the gearbox please
It's all in the video.
No there a part missing.
In 9:01 you showed us the gearbox open,i want to know how did you open it because i have the same one and mine is broken.
@@khalidzainelabdin2564 ok so when the gearbox is removed remove the 3 screws and cover plate over the bearing. On the front theres a small rubber cover remove that and push something in the end and push the bearing out on the main shaft it's just pushed in to the case.
I couldn't figure out how to remove the shaft the blades bolt to. Hope this is more helpful.
Thank you. I will try it.
