making (not danish) cookies and putting them into those old store bought danish cookies boxes 😂 decorating christmas tree with old ornaments, getting solid shampoo bars as presents for family and wrapping them into small used paper bags from the grocery store that I couldnt avoid bc some workers obviously dont understand "i have my own bag" 😒
but its fine, I use them for gift wrapping
Ideal Xmas? Not getting crazy about cleaning the house or preparing insane amount of food (which is a part of Polish tradition...). We all deserved a real good Xmas chill :) love your video! Wishing you Gittemary and all of the followers out there a Very Merry Xmas! 🎄💚

If it makes you feel any better, I don't really decorate for Christmas or really even celebrate it. If I do decorate then I "make" a tree on the wall out of a strand or two of Christmas lights because I have a cat who views Christmas trees as appropriate things to climb into and then knock it down. Of course with having some chronic illnesses that drain my energy to deal with too much bs, I've made my life easier for that Christmas tree. I've secured the lights onto a corkboard with tacks that I have wrapped with some wire to secure the wiring of the lights to the tacks (mini nails tbh). Then I just hang it on a wall that has a electrical outlet to plug the lights in.
This year was my first year I didn't have to buy a single thing to wrap presents! I've tried for the last few years but there was always a weird/oddly shaped gift that i'd need to buy something for. Big win!
last time i wrapped a gift for my friend, i used one of my barely used head scarves. she was very surprised and loved the idea as an artist. now she has her gift and +head scarf 😄 thank you gittemary, you’ve been really helpful.

I, too, am not feeling it this year. I don’t really decorate, just a couple vintage ceramic Christmas trees my 2 grandmothers made and that’s it. This year especially, I am alone with my dog in a town I haven’t lived in for 23 years and all my family either live out of state, or in the South for winter. Maybe next year. OH! My Christmas tree is second, third, or fourth hand! I found it at the street outside an antique store…it was going in the trash…and it’s the most perfect pencil tree!
