- Hello everyone,
In this episode we meet Eric and his super duper clean Civic coupe. We loved hearing the story behind this awesome project. Funny story, I remember seen this car over and over. It was gutted and not paint matched but Eric always loved driving it around. I am so glad that he was able to keep the car for the long run. Even though the car was headed towards the junkyard, Eric managed to switch it over and fix it up. I am so proud and humbled that Eric allowed me to learn the story behind his build. You know the best thing about your channel is that back in the 90s and early 2000s is that nobody was willing to show you the engine. .It’s so rewarding to see guys talking about what they got and how they got there . My favorite “fun, fuck around car” was my 95 ex hatch, b18c jdm gs-r, lsd trans, full bolt ons, 100shot nos throttle controlled no2 kit w/ bottle warmer etc. it made enough power and was light enough to run with almost anything cruising around.
I think my favorite all motor “pure vtec” car was my 93 ex hatch painted type r, championship white. I finally got a b16b (ctr) full swap w/ valves, retainers and cams. Even higher compression setup 9500rpms of the most beautiful vtec crossover and power band ever! The car was just beautiful sounding. If I didn’t get a huge offer for the car I would never have sold it.
Craziest swap was a Bluetop euro accord r h23 dohc vtec in an ek hatch. Fun fun car but no traction in first 2 gears 😂🙏.
This video makes me want to build one more. I’m 40 now but I feel like Honda’s are a lifestyle, ageless! 🙏

A buddy in high school bought a 1994 coupe, red Si.. In 1997, the 2nd day he got it he brought it to school and we all got in it and drove by All girl high schools... hahaha

I fell in love with the classic b series, h series. Frankenstein ls-b20/vtec setups in 2000-2010. I had one of the first b16 swapped civics in my town. People had no idea what was under the hood. Picture knowing what a d series single cam sounds like and runs like and then all the sudden a coupe rolls around at 8500 rpms wide open screaming🙏😂❤️.

Super clean !!! I really like the time and effort put into this. 1 issue and it's those tail lights I have never been a fan of the clear tails. I love it overall !!! Keep it up !!!!

Real talk, what got me into the scene was back in middle school (‘94-‘95) there was a semi fixed up coupe that was usually parked across from the school yard that I’d see day after day. Eg coupe > sedan any day.
A super clean blk ‘89 crx si ended being my first car in high school.

I was the sales manager of Noyan Usa 🇺🇸 in the early 2000’s. We imported everything jdm 🙏❤️🙏. I got great deals on all the engines. I swapped so many cars 🙏🙏🙏.
Like the dc sport strut bar. I basically took mine off , well it was the stock extension from the airbox to draw cold air . It caused bodylean when goin around the caldasec at 15 mph since its on stock struts lol
Many many cold nights helping my dad work on cars in the barn out of snow or elements holding flashlights him yelling hood it still or right here man lol 😂 I miss them days but it not just building cars man it nostalgia

Nope. I'll take a couple over a hatch anyway. Drag CO on a coupe is 32. Drag CO on a hatch is 33. And I enjoy the stability of a longer wheel base as well.

All it really needs is a Roll Bar, rear seat delete, 2 Jdm Dc2 or Ek9 Red Recaro front seats and maybe do aluminum panels all the way around in the inside and wrap them with vinyl Carbon Fiber. And add some Carbon Fiber interior parts.

15 inch White evo regamaster wrapped in Falken rt 615/ another set of 16 inch work emotion cr Kai bronze, everything H.O.P. interior double din, single din delete, arm rest, fog lights, mud guards, d16z6, akmee camshaft kit, aem v2, DC header, skunk 2 manifold, cat delete, exhaust, benen tow hooks, black tyc head lights, jdm ambers and side markers, spoon re lip, spoon gauge cluster, spoon steering wheel. Fresh milano paint got everyone turning heads, muscle guys would stop to talk to me, cleanest ej1 I ever built in town or I ever seen. All parts bought from I.C.B.
I want to replicate it again but there's just no more new oem H.O.P parts.

I believe so, some hybrid civics came with clears for one year or so. As long as the bulb is clearly seen it shoudl be good.
