My Grandpa always told me, "Organization is the key to motivation." I can not work in a cluttered space. You have done an amazing job in your work space. 😊
I am so sorry for your loss I lost my grandfather in July it's important to take time with your family and grieve don't rush yourself because that only causes burnt out in the long run
My grandpa died just this January on the 26th, sorry for you loss
Seeing you pin-striping the legs of the lathe was a good reminder that your channel is not only about restoring a house but also about using original tools in the process as much as possible. And putting as much diligence and attention to detail into both projects.
Heartfelt sympathy for you and Kim. Losing a loved one is never an easy thing. Thoughts and prayers are with you. 🙏
Love 🩷 and memories never die.
The workshop looks so good. Having a nice organized area means so much when you're looking for a misplaced tool. Do what you need to do to heal. I believe your grandmother is watching everything you do.
I admire your honesty. We are just here to share your joy. You don’t have to share every moment with us. This is your house your home. Praying for you and your family
Exactly, I like the renovation process, the private life is non of my business.
@@schnickschnack2000
To a large extent, yes, I agree. But many of us have grown very fond of Kaleb and Kim and do enjoy knowing how things are going for them. They have gone much more private since they married and that's to be expected - priorities shift appropriately. But we still appreciate the personal touches. I sure do miss Kim, though. ❤
So sorry for your loss. Taking time for your family is far more important than entertaining us.
You are one of the most genuinely thoughtful and caring people I've come across. You never have to think a video isn't up to some "standard" or worry about "content" because we're all pulling for you like a friend. You're supposed to be human, and mourn, and grieve and feel and be with family. We're just happy with you sharing whatever is happening that week...it doesn't have to be "exciting" because your natural enthusiasm has us all hooked. I hope this all makes sense. ❤
Yep! We're here through thick and thin, always pulling for you and just enjoying the time you share. It doesn't have to be "exciting" all the time because the quiet times shared are what make friendships what they are.
I totally agree with these sentiments. 😢❤
I love that you really took the time (and are currently taking more time) to build the essential systems. It reminds me of the steps to build on raw land back in the Victorian Era. First you get a basic shelter and sanitary systems, then you build the workshop, then the animal housing, and then and only then do you make a fancy home for yourself.
Of course we miss you when you don't film, but you need time to grieve. Don't rush it.😊❤
I am so very sorry about losing your Grandmother. Family first is a good thing. Your workshop looks amazing and it will help you out in your future projects (which we are looking forward to).
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Beloved Grandma. I recently lost my 99 year old Mom, it’s hard. You are not accountable to we who watch your Channel. You work through what and as you need. You have made improvements as you could, getting your Lathe in place, organizing its components and your tools will make what you do easier for you. I found, every step we take is one behind us and closer to our goals. I’m following your work, eagerly, celebrating each step forward.
I'm so sorry for your loss. May your faith comfort and strengthen you.
The pinstriping is amazing 👏🏻!
I'm so looking forward to seeing progress on the mansard now that the weather is improving!
I found this episode rather relaxing! Clearing up the basement was obviously a lot of work. I found just having the before and after pictures ver satisfying! Sometimes those sped up videos are so hectic they exhaust me. 😂 I really didn’t need to watch you moving and tidying and taking things down and putting things up. That ‘after’ walk through was perfect.
And it was nice to hear you talking about your plans.
I’m glad you were able to do what felt good and not what you thought you should do. A change is as good as a rest. And when you’re dealing with grief you need some downtime and some alone time without any pressure.
Looking forward to seeing how you go in 2024.
Take care.
That’s so nicely expressed. Are you Australian? ‘Seeing how you go’ doesn’t sound North American 😄
@@pdq5465 Canadian. Same commonwealth, different continent!
@@christinahand973 I’m Canadian too. My Australian friends say ‘how are you going?’, where we tend to say ‘how are you doing?’
Kaleb, you take all the time you need to deal with your loss. We will all still be here when you're ready to commence Season 4.
The pin-striping reminded me of my sign-painter Dad who left us nearly 20 years ago. He did a LOT of that on vehicles as well as signs.
My condolences to you and your family for your loss, Caleb
Impressed with your first-time pin striping.
I am so sorry Caleb for your loss. Its never easy but it does get better with time.
Above all else take care of yourself and everything else will eventually fall in line. Cry and mourn until you feel better, we can wait and pray for you until then. 🙏🤗❤️
There's a lot of work been going on behind the scenes. It's so easy to think nothing is happening, but it's clear that's not the case. It's amazing to look back and see how far you've come.
Everything should be done in your time...not to push CZcams viewers and algorithms.
When you're ready, things will flow better than forced during times of stress and grief.
That said, one thing for your workshop prep...A dust collector if you can, and consider taping drywall joints, so wood dust doesn't build up in the space behind and become a fire hazard.
Nice to see you enjoy a moment as an artist with a touch of pin striping.
I am so sorry for your loss. I understand why what you do with your house is very therapeutic. When I sew, I find it so therapeutic. I can not wait to see you use those machines! God Bless you and your family. Both of you are so real and honest. It is wonderful to see that there are still good people in this sad times in the USA.
You are like a gift to all of us! You have realized Life is a Journey, not a destination. You have been kind enough to take us on yours and Kim's journey. I don't think you'll ever find an end to your project because despite all the stress and costs (perhaps tears?) you are loving this journey at restiring this old home. With each epuside I watch, I find it more and more to be YOUR home, not Mr. Brown's. It is a labor of love and we are all in love with being taken alongside of you to see the changes. I'm sorry about the loss of your Grandmother. I'm sure she was proud to see you restoring this home. ❤🎉
Caleb, Caleb, Caleb...
It is our PRIVILEGE to be able to join you on this home restoration journey. Thank you for keeping at it , doing a marvelous job and sharing it with us.
Sorry for your loss. It is never easy losing a family member. Cleaning your equipment and shop is exactly what you need. It is a sort of down time for you, but in the long run it is up time as well. A clean and organized shop containing clean and working equipment will pay off while leaving you alone with your thoughts as you do it. Sending prayers and hugs to you and Kim.
PS. Your inside shop is looking great!
My deepest condolences on the loss of your grandmother. I can empathize 💯 with how cleaning and organizing helps me get in a better head space. Please don’t feel you need to record time lapses and speak to us through the camera if you’re not feeling it. You need to process and heal. The work shop looks great and I hope it was cathartic for you. Take care.
Seeing your cat play with the laser lever is so sweet!
So sorry for your loss. Do what you need to do to grieve. The striping was beautiful! Keep remembering your time with your Grandma and your family. Prayers for you and your family. ❤
Sorry to hear about your granny. After the funeral and everyone goes home, comes the personal grieving. There's a sadness when a piece of steady wisdom and unwavering love is gone from your world forever. When i lost my Dad there was an urge to focus on important things and leave the drama and drivel to others. My Dad was like that. He was wise, calm, measured, and uninterested in the frivolous. It makes my effort to emulate and honor his best qualities seem worthwhile. Take your time to weep and reminisce. We'll be here waiting on this silly social media platform to see your next beautiful sweaty project. We anticipate hearing from you, just like always. You grabbed my attention with your first few introductory offerings, and now I'm interested for the long haul. If you need a chainsaw "professional" (whatever that means😆), or some grunt work done, just holler.(I'm only about an hour south)
Cheer up Ol' Chap. Have a spot of tea! Kaleb and Kim, Your'e doing Fantastic! Always finding something fun to do and add in between, during down times. Seems to be the very best thing to do to keep you going.
Dude you free handed that pin striping! Quite the artist.
That lathe is soooo beautiful ! It must have been very difficult getting all the paint off but yeah so worth it ❤..amazing .. can't wait to see it working. That being said, I would like to say as well that your health, physical or mental is the most important thing compared to when and if we see the latest progress, the fact you are sharing 'any' of this journey with us is an absolute privilege and treat for me. You share with us so much of your real life journey, and grieving is a part of life that one would be lucky not to have to go through, yet all of us will at various times in our lives. Please take all the time you need, in the way that works for you, and I will be here cheering you on no matter if or when the next video comes along.
Big hugs to you and Kim from Brighton Uk.
Oh I'm SO EXCITED to hear you are doing something for your staircase!!!! I can't wait to see that!!!
I enjoy it when you post, but I understand the need for privacy. I hope you are soon emotionally in a better place.I'm sending good wishes to both Kim and you.
sorry for your loss Caleb. take your time we'll be waiting hugs from England Juliet
There is no need for you say, you must do better!
Nothing is as sad as loosing someone you loved dearly and was the whole time of your life around you!
You are doing such a great job with your videos!
All the best wishes to you!
I'm really sorry to hear of your loss, grandparents are so special, my thoughts are truly with you 😢
Keep up the great work you are both doing, it looks fantastic. Have really enjoyed following your channel from the early days and seeing the progress, 😊
So beautiful! What an absolute blessing to have had your grandma all the way into adulthood. Did she ever get to see the house, or at least photos, etc? So special!!
Sorry for the loss of your grandmom.
Things look good in the shop
I'm so sorry about the loss of your grandmother.....peace and love to your family. Just keep doing what you are doing, you are making progress! Cleaning and organizing is as essential as the actual work being done!
Good luck Kaleb and Kim. Im sorry for your loss.💔
Love to both of you💕
My condolences to you and your family. Clean work space is looking very good. Take your time and find peace in pleasant things - do what you need to do to deal with sorrow and pain.
Kaleb, The little things take time. You are making a huge difference. Beautiful work.
Condolences on the loss of your Grandmother. A beautiful lady I’m sure.
New season, same hard work ❤❤❤
Whoa it looks HUGE now! I can def see why cleaning up helps so much! I love the pin stripping, it looks beautiful.
Realy i admire the work of you guys, i'm Watching your channel for 1.5 years and you're doing great! I love that cat by the way. Greatings from Holland!!!
I’m so sorry for your loss, Kaleb. Spending more time with your family is exactly what you should be doing right now. The house and your audience will be here when you are ready for us. Take your time. ❤️❣️
My deepest condolences to you and your family. We all understand. Looking forward to what's to come. Take your time...we're here.😊
Sorry for the loss of your grandmother!!!!! And you don't need to explain. Spend time with family, that's important and when you're ready you get back to the work..... God bless
A clean work space is inspiring! Looking good!
You sure have a steady hand, dude! Everything looks great! Especially the pinstriping!
I love the cleanup. It brought out a good working space and a better showcase of your machines.
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you feel better soon. She'll be with you always.
Good morning, Kaleb! I'm looking forward to seeing what you've been up to!
Pin striping is a lost art. Nice Job!
Wow…really looks great…When you clean straighten things up… Inspiration comes flying in your head I love it it looks great❤
Love those old machines, they're so cool.
You are very blessed to have had your Grandmama for so long. Make a scrap book of fond memories of her...Then you can revisit her and her influence on you, whenever you want
Finding purpose after a loss is a huge help. And even day to day, for people like us, a job well done that also tickles your creativity is more satisfying than what many people consider "fun". Snowy days are perfect for your projects; I laughed to see that you also receive kitty help (they always want to know what you're doing...curiosity and all that, lol). I love that your artistic soul guides your practical decisions. Bravo on the pin-striping! Mr. Brown would be proud on so many levels. And perhaps in time you may choose special photos or keepsakes from your grandmother to incorporate into your home decor. I have original 4x6 black and white snapshots of my parents in matching frames on the wall above my desk; Dad is 15 (1946), working on his bike in front of his parent's garage in Los Angeles; Mom is 14 (1948), sitting with her little black Scotty dog beside her parents garage barely a mile away. They ended up going to the same high school and married years later. The pictures give me a glimpse into their past that is bittersweet, but comforting as well. Take care.
Great job on workshop and tiling. I used to do pinstriping and fine brush work, but my hands shake too much now. So sorry for you loss. She will always be with you. Take all the time you need.
Just take some time to heal.Everything will fall into place when you are ready.Don't worry about making videos.Sometimes you need to be alone.Just take it easy and we'll see what happens next.❤
Guess what? That OLD refrigerator in the garage is just like the one I grew up with at my Nanny's. That just warms my heart,!!!😊
I am so sorry for your loss. Every thing is looking very good. I just love the shower . if you put up curtains between work area. You can cut down on lots of dust. Then take them down , wash them then move to another area. Take care.
You guys warm my heart. I love the care and concern you put into the details. Need to see Kim some. Much love from an old Texas grandma
You take the time you need to grieve and be with your family. And every machine you collect will be part of the house you're restoring... who could ask for more. Looking forward to more episodes as you get back into the groove of it all.
First, you have my sincere condolences on your family's loss. But next, I have a small suggestion. Cover the monitor on the fridge if it's going to remain there for any length of time. Cleaning and vacuuming the interior of an old monitor is really time-consuming. 90 year-old grime is bad enough. Sawdust though? Ick!
Luv watching progress of this beautiful home, always have loved Victorian homes🌹Amazing vintage machinery👍🏻
In a long term renovation you always need a reset! Maybe we don’t see the systems daily, but they are the foundations of a job well done! Congratulations on beginning season 4!
God bless you and your family!
I'm sorry for your loss !
I love your videos and look forward to them every week!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello to the new kitty! 😺

Sorry for your loss. Take your time. Be with family. That is most important. We understand.
I can’t believe it has been three years!!! ❤ been here since the first episode, had to create a new account two years ago but I have loved watching you grow and experience what you have.
Kitty is so cute helping you out! :)
Sorry for your loss. Your patch looks amazing
Loss is difficult and takes time, glad you are allowing yourself that. Cleaning and organizing is great therapy 😊
I am sorry for your loss, Kaleb. Don't stress yourself too much with posting youtube content. Take your time to heal and care for yourself and be with your family. Actually after the season end I thought you would go on hiatus for a couple of weeks. Take your time, we won't go away ❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy to you & your family. You need to take time for yourself & just get back to filming when you feel up to it. Take care of yourself & your family ❤️
The tile floor looks awesome in the bathroom.
Deepest Condolences
Re the floor tiles - I would make the shorter peice (4 tile border) Into a 3 tile border to match the rest of it. You're going to have to pop up tiles anyway.
❤So sorry for your loss. Mental health is so important. Confronting the emotions that come with the loss of a close family member and being a support to your other family members is a step toward healing.
Love the machines and craftsmanship! Thank goodness we still have craftsmen who can pass on their knowledge
I am so sorry for your loss 😢. It is never easy but time will heal and give back to you through loveable memories of your granny ❤ You have every right to to take time and heal your heart! 😊 We are in awe of your dedication and caring heart Caleb!
Loving the patch work! Very sorry for your Loss, hugs
Lookin great! ❤
It's the small things that make the big things happen. Loss is hard and I fully understand that. Your viewers love you and we'll be here when you're ready to go full throttle. Take care of yourself.
Perfect time for some solid spring cleaning
So sorry for your loss, hugs
Prioritising family is always the most important. Workshop looks great. Tidy workspace is essential to being and feeling organised and on top of things
i am so sorry for your loss
Gettin’ fancy with the One-Shot! Kudos!
Beautiful job restoring both the missing tiles and the the lathe. Your pin striping looks wonderful.
Great update 2x👍
You are a very fortunate person to be able to buy a house with a rich history. You also get a link to the house and former owner through the purchase of the tools to do all of those projects. They say a person never works a day in their life if you do what you love, and you haven't been working much, so to speak. 😂 Keep up the excellent work 👏, one day, you'll get to where you want to be.
Nice to see kitty earning their keep by help with the tape measure since they roll up when unexpected inside of staying in place.😺
I am so sorry for you loss. You are such a sweet man I hate to hear you are hurting. There is a time for everything........a time to grieve (Ecclesiates). You take your time and let the feelings come and go as they do let the memories flood. Memories are a gift from God that keep our loved ones alive in our heart and mind. Life would be empty without memories. God bless you as you go through this stage of your life. Working on a loving project of the house as you are is a great way to work out your loss as you achieve progress on the house you are shaking loose your loss. Much love to you and your sweet wife.
Great job on the workshop! It is so important to have a well set up and functional workshop when doing this type of work. I am in my workshop right now:) Every few months I do a major cleanup, deep clean, reorganize tools, maintain machines, put away things I don't need, put other things in more logical places so I just have to reach for what I need and not go search for it in a drawer. I always marvel at how much more productive I am when my work space is organized and functional. I highly recommend having visual access to the tools you need most, it saves time and is much easier to keep organized when you just have to put that favorite wrench back on the wall then in a drawer.
