Towns in big cityâs like London, Manchester, Burm, Portsmouth and many more, are huge. I donât think anyone knows every single person in their town. U probably have passed or been in some sort of contact with someone who has lost a family member or knows someone who has died to covid but coz your not on that personal level with them, they havenât told ya.

You can tell who is the educated person here. Ignorant people blame goverment, and intelligent people understand the difficulty we are facing and that there is no guaranteed way to solve this. Like the doctor said, none of us would like to be on the panel and make those decisions that impact everyones lives. The immense pressure and scrutiny that they are under is crushing. At the end of the day everyone is just trying their best.

On the news they pull deaths from 30 days after being tested positive but purposely don't include that they didn't die from covid.
Some deaths were escalated by covid, but we don't know how many, we just know these people died with covid in their system. Since it's pretty much harmless to young healthy people, it's fair to assume that many who "died from covid" were on the verge of death anyway

I'm seeing a lot of negative commentary but I enjoy this series. If Poet's character irritates you then I would think it's obvious to not watch content featuring him.. people just like to have something to complain about and someone to get on to. I think his questions are valid, he's asking questions based on his experiences and trying to critically think through why everything is happening in the way it is happening instead of just taking everything the main stream media throws at us as absolute fact. Obviously the way the death rates are counted and the way the situation has been dealt with has been extremely confusing for a lot of people who can rationally think. The basis of the show is literally for the panel to ask questions and share their opinions and everyone's angry that Poet is doing so in the way he literally always has lol, and overlooking some of the very valid and interesting questions he has asked. Looking forward to more episodes!

Poet got some very interesting points considering the effects of isolation, meaning depression, divorces etc. But what Dr. Shko said (15:36) about this being something totally new for the world as a whole is something people need to consider more. Also the following point he made about governments around the world approaching it differently, keep in mind! Big up NHS and all public health systems around the world!

None of them said it doesnt exist. They are questioning (albeit not in the most articulate way) whether it warrants us overthrowing our whole way of life to deal with it. The numbers make zero sense. The average age of Covid deaths are people past the average age of death in this country.
All death are sad but dont act like you care more than they do when the same aged people were dying of flu, tb, etc before. Yet you werent begging for lockdowns etc. You can not beat a virus like this. Thousands of scientists also agree. There people are right to question whether theres another motive for these measures.

With all due respect to the Doctor, I don't think he was the correct person to have placed here. He is a bit too sympathetic with their points and is avoiding dismantling them. He keeps saying we don't know enough, we don't know much about this virus, we don't know what to do. This isn't a very good way to portray the issue. We know a good amount more about the virus now, enough to develop a working vaccine. We know what to do to stop people from getting the virus and we have a good guess at who is the most vulnerable. He could have given more answers and provided more of what we do know instead of repeating what we don't. They clearly aren't as informed as he is so instead of saying we don't know to provide them with what we do know that has informed so many countries around the world to take the measures they have.

â@@zakariyyadar7453 True but even so I feel like as a Doctor he should still have been in a position to answer more. I feel like I could have done a better job and I have no medical expertise. He was too agreeable IMO. And we even 2 months ago were definitely more on the side of understanding what it is. I mean the vaccines had been developed at that point and they were just being tested maybe like 2nd or 3rd phase. We had the virus genome sequenced, we knew age obesity and quite a few diseases were risk factors and we have known how to treat patients with it for months too. We aren't completely in the dark like we were in 2019 or early 2020 and have good idea of how to stop it.
