Awesome weekly tour Eric! Never get's old for us Fans in the very thoughtful ways you place your camera to get us some really gnarly views! Know it's extra work on your side of the lens but it is not forgotten so Thank You! I'm always interested in seeing the progress of your corn, soybeans and the reasons on how you deal with weather, weeds, and spraying! It connects the dots towards the the Harvest Videos later! Your Cows live the best life and are pampered and well cared for by you and your dad and the rest of the working crew! You all set the bar high on Work Ethics but sure is a pleasure to see too! Appreciate you all Farming and taking care of us! MOO From Next Door in COW-lumbus, Ohio 👋

Nice to see a real American farmer
Puts in more hours in a single day than most people put in a month
One of my favorite utube farmers right alongside Larsons farms
Thanks for taking something of your off time to allow us city folks what's it takes to put milk on our tables
    Lots of very hard work
Not just running down to the corner store
So glad we still have farmers who love real farming
    Thank you so much

The most common mineral found in wells is iron. Probably explains the brown tint on your filter. Might I suggest Installing a flow meter on your inlet side to give you a better indication of when to change your filter. I have the double filter housing, one charcoal for the chlorine and bone char for the fluoride. Why our board of water continues to poison us is beyond me. Those filters arent cheap so, knowing when to change them when they reach their intended gallon limit is nice.

    Nice update, Eric.
I have a couple of questions.
"Dry cow feed" ( I'm guessing here). Cows that have stopped producing.
What do you do with them? I'm sure you dont just keep them around and keep feeding them.
Also, do you have to have a vet show up once a month or so to check your herd over.
Just curious. Very impressed with this whole operation. Ultra violet light water treatment, setting up a medicaid water treatment for huff sores. There are so many behind the scenes operations it takes to operate your farm.....
    Again, it is very interesting!

The Metals you are Filtering out are Iron and Manganese. They are found in a lot of Ground Water Sources. Your Bacteria issue might be coming from your Inactive Well Line. If its not Closed off Properly any water in that line can go Stagnant and grow bacteria.

    • @diamondjim7560
      @diamondjim7560 Před měsícem

100% correct. Most of the aquifer from Maine to Georgia (farther from the coastline) has significant amounts of these metals and are acidic. This past year I installed a superior treatment system to my well (400+ deep) after testing it against the old system and straight well samples. I am pleased with the current purity of what I now have. Everyone with well systems should keep on top of their water quality. Not just the bacteria, but the pH levels of the water, the mineral content and insoluble material may be harmful to the health of people as well as livestock and pets.
