• Open this website: www.xiaomistockrom.com
• In the search box, enter the model name of your phone.
• MAKE SURE that you salect the regional / global variant. (In our case, regional model is Indian model).
• Download the tool.
• Connect your phone to a PC and run Mi USB driver.
• Turn off your phone and enter fastboot mode.
• Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions provided by it.

PixelOS usually has longer support than pixel experience. Some even come with miui stock camera. I recommend that instead.
Miui stock camera is worst ok focus , ...
GCam is best for old phone, it's like GOD for old device... Takes better picture with good details

I have tried Gcam on many phones which supports Camera2API , it makes it HDR+ with help of Google AWB , ans face retouching, and detailing is better than any stock camera I have used in my life
..
Now I don't know about what you had problems with using your Wrong version of Gcam 🤣 or may be you don't know how to configure XML files or module
@@xninja2369in some very extreme and rare cases, stock camera works consistently, where gcam may not work that great
PS: I have also used lots of gcams and currently use one too, but it'd be wrong to deny the stability of stock camera in some cases
