  • The Altimaniac chassis is coming along nicely! In this episode, you will see Jimmie cutting more and more of the factory body away to make room for the tube chassis! Being out first tube chassis and CAD built car, we had to go back and forth many times to find each tube and get them placed into the car. A few tubes needed a little clearancing as we had to call a couple audibles as the car went from a render to real life! #TeamValvoline #Nissan #Nismo
We finish up the crossmembers front and rear and hung them onto the chassis for their final position. Got the levels and the tape measures out to get them all fitted up properly!

I would love to see a video talking about the design of the tube frame and some reasoning for its design.

This is like the 3rd vid on this car and I still don’t know what it is or what it’s for lol

This is flipping rad man. I love the ground up fabrication. Really really enjoying the content. I hope to grow my skills enough to one day try something like this. Keep up the great work!

It is so cool to see a complete tube chassis build. This thing is going to be insane. Great content! Is there a specific purpose for this car, or is it just a general badassed partycar? Was it supossed to be for sema?

I’m honestly more excited by this thing than tuerck’s supra build. Sure that thing will be sick with the v10 but the rest of the car is just cookie cutter compared to the nascar spec Altima

Rob dahm didn’t even know how to weld he started building that car so he has a shop do the chassis if is started over he would do it him self he as progressed massively on his welding and fabrication ability that car is making almost 1500 all wheel hp and is still has more in it

@@T-o-m-s i just think that he should have started with more of a plan. I also understand that you have to show something to sponsors and viewers, but if he’d made a general design of the car in solidworks, like he did with the suspension, it would have been a much more managable endeavour
