hi, great video. Does roland eco solvent needs out gasing? can you work with them in a small room? are they good for quick turnourds? lastly, how would you compare latex and uv roll to roll printing on paper media, does gloss paper sill looks gloss afeter doin uv printing? I only used latex for posters and I was just not sure how uv would work on paper. thanks

Thanks for watching and sending a comment. The Roland Eco-SOL prints may need outgassing depending on what your what you're creating. Sticker where you will be cutting through wet ink or a vehicle wrap I would out gas. If it just stickers without a bleed or paper, it would be fine. There is a slight smell to the ink, but most people have no issue with it and can work with them in a small room. Yes, they are good for quick turnarounds although latex ink is the best for quick turnarounds. UV works fine on paper similar to latex inks UV inks are matte by nature and would need a gloss laminate if you wanted a gloss finish. Eco-SOL inks on gloss vinyl or paper would still look glossy when printed.

What do you think about the Afinia L502-L801 are they good enough to print quality stickers for cannabis

I just did some consulting for a cannabis packaging company who was using the L801. Yes, it’s a good printer for that. Make sure you clean and maintain it on a regular basis. You are limited with the finishes to straight CMYK printing on a handful of media but it gets the job done. They also had the finishing system which is a must for labels in my opinion.

What you think about roland bn2-20a ?

I think the BN2-20A is a great all around machine that allows you to create professional looking graphics and stickers in a compact size. You can’t go wrong with that printer.

For eco solvent, what vinyl is recommended for packaging or what brand do you recommend?

Thanks for the question. It depends on what the packaging type is. All media manufacturers have a standard vinyl for cardboard or paper type products. If it’s a low energy surface like plastic I would recommend Arlon DPF8000 ultra tack or similar. If it’s a food product then Eco-sol ink should not be used on any media as it is not a good safe ink. I can recommend more media options if you let me know the packaging type.

@@graphicinsights466 hey man, Great information as always. A customer inquired about labels, this is for a filtered water company. Does that mean eco-solvent is not safe for that ? If not what type of printing is good for that ?

@raygangibbs3762 if they’re going on a the filter themselves I would say no but if for the box they come in and the filters are individually wrapped, I would think it would be fine.

@@graphicinsights466 The label would be going on the bottles that the water is going to go in
