It will not work for women shoes. These calculations based on Brookes Method described in the book "Modern Pattern Cutting and Design" by H.J.Patrick. The same book has also pattern calculation for other types of shoes. In the book Patrick says that he used Brookes method for the English riding boot, but all other types of footwear are calculated as per Patrick's formulas that he developed to simplify the pattern making process for his students.
