Dear Emma, I do wanna have more real English practice with you! I already rewatched your lessons of the last year in which you gave a chance to talk to you (virtually). And of course, your imitation technique lessons are undoubtedly extremely useful! You know, I've been staying with you since 2016! Keep it up ! ! !💖💖💖💖💖
Would you plz make a video about the O in English.
I find sounding native with just the word "hello" and "no" is so hard!
Thank you
@@linajaafar4048 OK, I'll get onto it for you!
Thank you,
You are best teacher,
Please I wanna to ask you some questions if you have a chance answer to me.
Thanks
I'm a native speaker, but find English teaching videos fascinating because they make me more aware of the shortcuts I take every day 😊
There are so many things that we do without questioning or wondering why....
It is quite a sobering experience to try and teach our language to English learners! 😅
@mmmEnglish_Emma Do you think Aussie English speakers take more shortcuts with schwas etc, or do all native speakers do it?
@@FionaEm Australians are known for shortening words at every opportunity and we are certainly good at drawing out vowel sounds! But schwa's are common across native English accents - they are responsible for syllable stress, sentence stress, rhythm etc.
I love your lessons, I don't know how to speak English, but I've been to Australia and I loved that country! and you are the most beautiful teacher I have ever seen😍
Mmmmm... Let's watch something new interesting and absolutely useful from mmm.. my Emma! My beloved Teacher has prepared the another great video! In particular, I always fond of your pronunciation lessons!

Great! I'm glad to hear that :)
Speaking as a Native English speaker is always a challenge 'cause you know, we as non natives require a lot of practice let alone when you are leaving in countries of different languages. But i'll try hard to pronounce and speak like a Native. And thanks so much for your English lessons.
Thanks for watching!
I’ve been living in Australia for nearly 4 yrs now and I realised I have those pronunciations. It happens naturally I suppose. I love watching 60 Minutes Australia, Current Affairs, Aussie News, Aussie travel vlogs, and especially your channel Emma❤
Thanks so much for your lessons, I’ve learnt a lot from you!
We are defintely influenced by the sounds and accents around us! I can always tell when one of my students have spent some time living in Australia - the vowel sounds a re a dead giveaway!
Wow this is a really helpful video that puts emphasis on the Schwa sound(the most important sound in the English language)and connected speech. I'll recommend this video to anyone who's trying to improve both their speaking and listening skills. Am also a non-native English speaker btw
Thank you! And you are right - the schwa is the most important sound in English! Essential for word stress, sentence stress, tone and rhythm!
Here is a lesson I dedicated to it: czcams.com/video/kjVp_xr0WR0/video.html

Thanks for showing us these little nuances which seem unimportant but they make the spice in the English language!
Yes, you are right! They seem small and insignificant, but have a HUGE impact on your ability to understand native speakers!

I love your videos alot Emma , you are great teacher ❤❤
Glad you enjoy them!
Great lesson. I had a very good teacher in hight school, I would say on ethe best teachers I ever had, and he taught me all about shwa in untressed words.
Amazing video ✌️
Thank you!
I must admit I would have had some difficulties to differentiate "I want to buy her car" from "I want to buy a car", when spoken fast. Furthermore, I believe they sometimes take some words up to the point where they end up "getting rid" of every consonant sound (in the UK), such as "wo-ah", instead of "water". Fortunately, we can always rely on the context, but we actually don't need to, since Emma explains! Thank you so much for another video-jewel! 🤗 I really hope you are well!
Hey Emma I am glad you are back 😉😉,,
It feels great to be back! 🥰
Amazing 👏 hope that there are more videos about different pronunciation of T
Amazing! 🇦🇺
Thank you! ❤️

Absolutely helpful! It is impossible to understand native speaker without knowing how they pronounce these common words. Wow, it was very helpful, ma'am (I don't know your name but thank you so much)!
Glad it was helpful!
How this a lesson? I THINK AWSOME. One more time you impressed me. Thank you teacher every subject.
Happy to hear that!
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
01:06 🗣️ Native English speakers pronounce common function words quickly and efficiently when speaking naturally.
02:06 🗣️ The word "at" is usually unstressed and pronounced with a schwa sound, but it can be stressed for emphasis.
02:41 🗣️ The verb "do" is often reduced and linked to the previous word when used as an auxiliary verb in sentences.
03:17 🗣️ The pronouns "you" and "as" are usually unstressed and may link to the preceding word when spoken quickly.
04:23 🗣️ Some grammatical words like "have" and "has" can be reduced and contracted when used as auxiliary verbs in perfect tenses.
05:26 🗣️ Words starting with a vowel often link to the last sound of the word before when spoken naturally.
06:34 🗣️ Words like "he," "him," "her," "have," and "has" are often pronounced without the initial "h" sound when spoken quickly.
08:15 🗣️ The verb "have" as an auxiliary in perfect tenses is usually unstressed and commonly contracted (e.g., "I've," "we've").

Thank you very much for the useful lessons. I want to improve my English by conversing with you. Can you help me???
Hey, can you please upload a video on prepositions? I've watched the videos which are already there in your channel but still I want more videos on this topic. I really don't understand which preposition to use. Especially when to use on and when to use in.... For exactly:in CZcams or on CZcams etc...
You lady very unique in a way
I found you a great teacher in which your facial expressions are more artistic arts than your content presentations!
Thank you!
Dear Emma, thank you for this video. I can understand this linked speaking in various podcasts, documentaries, youtube videos (even if speeded up), but why is it that in movies (played by actors) I can't understand so well?
P.S: if there was a contest "miss English teacher" you would surely win!
I'm not sure what CZcams videos and podcasts you listen to, but I suspect it would have something to do with background noise, context and accent. In a podcast, the podcaster is sitting in front of a microphone and speaking into it (this is very different to the way that you experience movies, isn't it?!
@@mmmEnglish_Emma
I listen to various podcasts with different accents (for instance Skeptics Guide, Dr. Becky...). You are right, podcasters are speaking into a microphone, but blockbuster movies must have pretty good sound engineering as well, yet I can't understand everything. Nevertheles I must watch more movies, probably it will help, practice makes the master :)
Very very great👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏thanks❤👍🙏🥰😜🤪
