Phil is pretty rude sometimes, as others have mentioned turning away during handshakes, but he was outdone by Lewis at the world cup and it was funny to see Phil actually playing the role of the diplomat during Lewis's shenanigans. He looked pretty embarrassed.

Phils a legend and made an incredible living out of darts but he seems like a right prick.

Taylor has a rude habit of turning away from the other player while shaking hands. The other players know it and hang on to his hand and make him turn around. The obvious sportsmanship needed here is for both players to shake hands after the match and exchange a few words. To turn and walk away while shaking hands is an insult to the other player. Phil could have avoided a lot of aggravation with some manners.

i havent watched darts alot, but ive noticed that most players are really bad sports and seem to have massive egos... there is no comradery like billiard players have for example.

I dont know much about darts but its great to watch, edge of the seat stuff. Hanky strikes me as somebody who likes audience participation so long as its in a positive manner and for him.
The best moment, by far, was having that announcer dude call Australia an, 'old enemy of ours.' Yes, let no one forget the ancient enmity felt deep in the bones of every English man for his aussie counter part.
I thought it was a cricket term stemming from the Ashes, since Australia always kick England's arse the majority of test matches.

Hankey is a good player, the problem is he always responded to a lary crowd so it spiraled out of control. Other players have learnt to ignore idiots. But it has to be said that darts crowds get worse and worse every year. I don't think that's a problem with darts, it's more of a society problem.
