It's the greatest film of all time, without a shadow of doubt. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars". Oscar Wilde.
I got a lot of favorite movies of all time. This one holds a special place in my heart. "A man can change his stars", "Don't be foolish William, you just follow your feet!", "How did the nobles become noble in the first place, they took it!", "Your men love you and if I didn't know anything else about you, that would be enough." So many damn good quotes. A truly motivational movie. Everything you could ever want really is just out there waiting to be received by you, it's only if you dare to dream and reach out and grab it that it will be yours. Follow your dreams, I find the idea of people "searching for their purpose" strange looking at it now years later after being one who searched for his purpose. It's now that I realize it isn't something you "find" it's something you give yourself. What is it that you want? I mean really really want? I think once you've asked yourself that question regularly, enough, you will eventually know what it is you really ought to be doing. Has someone ever asked you, "What do you want out of life?" Or "What do you want to do with your life?" And you either gave them a generic answer or no answer? It means you haven't thought about it enough. No one can answer the question for you, the answer doesn't come from somewhere else it comes from inside you. It's already there you just haven't dug enough to find it inside of you.
Just something I came to realize because of this movie, as silly as it may seem. The film was definitely a work of art and no one can tell me any different.
Definitely in my top 10. There is so much good in it. The cast, the humor, the drama, the humor, the music, everything is top noch.

Back when Hollywood had writers and not activists. Another good movie is The Replacements with Keanu. Also Stardust.
