      Yeah and it will make more on e85 or when the belt isn't slipping above 6k

    You guys have inspired me to find my own hurricane car and pick up the rear mount kit. I love y'all's stuff, wish you were still closer to GA.

    unironically im seeing used v6 s550s hold value over the ecoboost counterparts.... makes me wonder if ford really missed the mark getting rid of it.

      Personally we think they did.
      The 3.7 is a super reliable very durable motor.

    • @OCtheG
      @OCtheG Před 9 měsíci +2

      They absolutely did. You’ll even notice the S197 3.7 V6 had slightly higher peak numbers than the S550 version of the same engine, they had to downtune it because it was too stiff of competition for the Coyote when properly dialed in. Harder to sell V8’s when V6’s perform that well, but between Ecoboost and Coyote nobody wants the Ecoboost so it fluffs sales numbers in the direction they’d prefer.

      @zenithskull Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@OCtheGlol the v6 has never been competition for the coyote, its not even close.

    • @KevinBesnier
      @KevinBesnier Před 9 měsíci +1

      In a track it's a different story, it's probably the reason why they chose a two-piece driveshaft to keep the max speed low. For drag purposes coyote all the way for sure@@zenithskull

      @OCtheG Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@zenithskull Lol I think you severely underestimate the handling benefits of lower weight ratios on time attack courses. Talking drag races sure, but there’s more to speed than throwing the biggest part at the problem. Expand your horizons man.

    Is it worth adding a turbo along with the required mechanical upgrades on a v6 that has 113k plus miles. Do you thing the engine would hold up?

    • @automafiaracing
      @automafiaracing  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes its worth it! We ran our World Record pass with our 3.7L V6 with 200,000 miles on the engine.

    What is the max milage you would recommend to boost one of these Hurricane engines at using your rear mount kit?

    How much boost is the 3.40 pully running and what’s the limit whp with a procharger 3.7

    • @automafiaracing
      @automafiaracing  Před 9 měsíci

      We were running a tad over 10 but with belt slip. We recommend our 20% OD Crank Pulley and a 3.70 to make 16+ psi
