I've been watching Juna with Muses and the Jazz Avengers for a while now. Whenever she's about to throw it down she does this little dance step, spreading her feet apart like "look out, here comes sumo bass!"
I've been listening to Jazz and Funk here in New York City for about 50 years. These young women are truly remarkable. Some moments in this alternatingly electrifying, transcendent performance stun me.

I love Harumo on Sax. She plays like the masters in jazz funk. This group includes Juna on bass, Emi on piano, and MiMi on drums can bring the funk with precision and style. On top of their great talent, they are beautiful.

Of the many versions of this, the Juna and Rina combo PLUS Harumo makes this one of the coolest in my humble opinion. I love everything these ladies do.

The bass duet throughout the entire song sounds solid and rich, adding a deep rhythm enhanced by the different sounds of the two bass guitars along with the different playing styles of Rina and Juna. My favourite TGJ version of this song yet.
And of course, Mimi's drumming is fascinatingly smooth!

Juna is one of the best on the planet, but she spends a lot of effort making sure other musicians are in the spotlight. I notice she is always happy to stand back and just play the line, in many tracks I have seen her in. A true professional.
Ms Imai should be my future ex wife. She is a stunner on that sax and she is gorgeous.

I love how Juna drips confidence, has facial expressions like she doesn't give a fuck, but moves like the music is coursing through her veins, all at the same time. It's an awesome combo to watch. I love all these girls though this band is amazing, thank you.
