For Halloween, I have created a list, the Top 10 Most Disturbing Nostalgic Moments from the 90s-2000s eras. The list covers the creepiest moments of our childhoods, in my opinion. This list is loose, and also I have some fun with it. I'll finish Xiaolin Showdown next.
Thanks everyone who provided the clips. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Had to come back for the throwback. Definitely a “what could’ve been” channel. Seriously i feel like if you did “top videos” this channel would still be afloat. Definitely ahead of its time in a way. Miss you watcher
I love Terror Time Again. It's one of my all time favorite songs.
chris schall same here
Yup
Same, man!
Full Metal Alchemist.
Anyone who has seen the first few episodes knows what I'm talking about.
WHY didnt you censor the nipples on Number 9, Watcher? WHY?
Fucking Alexander and Nina freaked me out in Ed's nightmare.
FUCK YOU SHAU TUCKER!
Night of the Chimera was the scariest to me and saddest
The climax from 'Haunted' in Teen Titans was always incredibly disturbing. Even before I realized that it could be taken-*ahem*-'another way', Slade's taunting had been so unsettling and the way he seemed so unstoppable until Robin turned on the light still causes me to shudder. And now that I'm older the disturbing factor has actually gone up, because I now understand the 'implications' of the scene.
CartoonsOfThe2000s yeah.
lexie jones one episode that creeped me out was when Robin somewhat became Slade, like, he was going to be the next Slade or something
Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island was one of my favorite movies when I was little, at least until Cyber Chase came out. And that episode with Sabrina is one of few I remember from when I watched Pokémon.
+Lindsey York with cyber chase the case was too easy but my favorites are zombie island goblin king chill out and samarai sword
I like Where's my Mummy, too, but they don't air it and it's pretty much impossible to find anywhere. :(
Yeah it is pretty much hard to find
Why is that, though?
maybe the film never sold well or could be out of print
Dude, the episode Speed Demon destroyed me as a child.
When I was maybe 6-7 years old one time there was a powerpuff girl marathon all day, and I watched it. However, Ms. Keane's "and I just stood there, waving goodbye" and the overall imagery...that still freaks me out. That was about ten years ago and it still rubs me the wrong way.
I agree with you there. That episode was just freaky.
Scooby Doo taught that humans are the real monsters... And if that's not deep... I don't know what is...
To be honest I wasn't a fan of zombie island or the whole people message. Who wants to hear about that ? I prefer the actual Scooby Doo villains.
Kaa's hypnotic eyes disturbed me in my childhood and is the whole reason why I hate snakes. I'm even more afraid of him now as an adult, why? Look him up on Deviantart!
19:05 it is possible to defeat Giygas without using prayer or even hacking, but it makes the battle 20X more difficult. After reading Giygases bio on an wikia... well, I actually feel empathy for him, he's been through and seen some honestly heartbreaking things which seem to of warped both his mind AND body, like the slaughter of his family after an evacuation. Long story VERY freaking short: His revenge was warped into hatred, his hatred into rage and petty vengance, then an desire to destroy all of the universe.
+Toriel Dreemurr it like I always say not everyone is evil just misguided or lost
i guess it is kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?
It's almost 2 am...why am I watching this?
You think watching it @ 2 am is rough... try 3 AM MUHAHAHAHA.
***** this made me giggle for no reason
Wow. Same here xD 1:45 am.
It's almost 3am for me.
Literally me. And nearly a decade later.
No Face from Spirited Away scared me when I was young.
+Olivia Rosario Same, the fact that he was eating people messed me up a bit
I loved how the lavender town theme played in the background at number 5
"Speed Demon" is kind of like "How Long is Forever"(teen titans)
Hmmmmmmmm.... Never thought of it like that..
Only horrifying
The episode of Samurai Jack were he went into the haunted house to rescue the family that was possessed by the demon was one of the most disturbing cartoons ever. Shoul have been here
Ooh that one got me into samurai Jack
classic video, thank you for entertaining and inspiring a young me.
It's so funny to come back to this video years later and consider this nostalgic.
This video was and is still amazing. Thank you so much for reintroducing me to all this weird and dark stuff from bygone childhood memories, Mr Watcher ^^
Do any of you remember the movie spirited away?!
Leonardo Velazquez I do
The pig transformation scene is forever engraved into my memory, and it still unnerves me even to this day.
Yeah
Beautiful film!
Spirited away had a good message. I liked Haku and the blob mask.
Scooby Doo on Zombie Island got to me, too... And Imperfect Cell? Don't get me started...
are you kidding me I LOVED that movie XD
Matthew McCorkle It *was* one of the better ones; I liked it after I figured out the zombies and mutant cat ladies weren't going to leap out of my TV and eat my face, lol
Gigi Paradox I don't blame you...
every month or so, I rewatch this video and love it all over again
The classic Scooby Doo episode with the mummy yelling "COIN! COIIINNNN!!!"
9:21 HOT POTATO!!!
Zombie Island LITERALLY scarred me for life when I was 2 years old. I CANNOT watch that frigging movie like ever! I seriously had to swap webpages while that part played on your video. AMAZING video!
I've seen several countdowns like this that counted down the scenes that acared the creator the most when they themselves were kids, but I think this is the first time I have ever seen a countdown like this with sceens that are creepy for us as adults. Great list man. These scenes were REALLY creepy, and I found it unsettling just to watch the little clips as you talked about them. I can't even imagine how it would feel to actually watch all 10 of these scenes in their original context back to back. (Might be a fun thing to do on Holloween some time.)
The black goo scene used in between the video segments (from Little Nemo) immediately stuck out in my mind once I saw it used. It's the most vivid thing I remember from that film... besides flying beds of course.
Large Marge from Peewee's Big Adventure. To this day, I can't even look at that image of the twisted face... ;n;
I saw that in someone else's video That was pretty messed up
The funny thing is, this video is now a disturbing nostalgic moment to ME!
Your videos make me smile. Thanks for being awesome! :)
Great! Job! I really like the animation, its a good idea. And that number intro is really good putted together! :D
I loved (and will always love) Scooby-Doo. But On Zombie Island screwed me up for a long time. Werewolves and zombies in one? NO THANK YOU. I obviously got over it though since I love The Walking Dead and Teen Wolf now looooooool
To be honest, one of my most terrifying nostalgic moments was the Wormy episode from Spongebob. The episode as a whole didn't spook me too badly, though it was a bit dark for the Spongebob norm. But anyone who's seen this episode knows where I'm headed. If you don't know what I'm talking about, for whatever reason after some stuff with Wormy after it's turned into a butterfly, it shows a close-up of (what I'm assuming is) a butterfly face. And not a cartoonish way, oh no, I mean an actual clip of a real butterfly right up in its face with a buzzing sound that made my trousers brown. In fact, every time I would watch this episode, I'd always cover my eyes when those moments would happen.
The "One Krabs Traah" episode was really scary.
BlueChilidog that episode right there is what i pin as the SOURCE of my absolute fear and loathing for almost all bugs INCLUDING the most overrated animal alive, the butterfly. they're such nasty ass little pests.
BlueChilidog Thanks to that thing I now have a serious fear of insects.
BlueChilidog with the episode wormy it one of the few reasons why I hate bugs
I share your pain, man! After I saw that, my school coincidentally was going to a butterfly garden. I wanted to run screaming out of there but I couldn't! Whenever I saw that damn episode after my first viewing I go out of the room covering my ears and wait until it's over.
DAMN NICKELODEON, DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL!
this was super interesting. most of the clips ive seen and can relate with on some level, and i find your open and descriptive commentary charming :D also, the part of the transitionary clip with that black and red goo from little nemo was the best part of it all XD as a kid of 5ish, that crap (i forgot what its called) REALLLLy filled me with such a sense of eerie unease and discomfort. watching it today even i experience that irrational fear so strongly :3 i love the nostalgia pajamapajama!!!
Number 1 was pretty freaky, but I'll always be freaked out at any age at any given time the Pokemon theme music for Lavender Town plays. I'd just like to say I'm glad I grew up with someone like you who just happens to do commentary on all my favorite childhood shows. I mean it, my subscription doesn't come easy but you had me at the first video I saw.
What I loved about our childhood cartoons, especially in the late 90s/early 2000s was that they weren't afriad to go that bit too far, to scare the crap out of us because it made it more exciting to watch if you knew something scary or if you didn't know something scary would happen.
That being said, Scooby Doo on Zombie Island scared the shit out me as a kid
good number 1.
If the whole taking your soul out of the robot and putting it into a robot wasn't nightmarish enough, the hellish dimension feel was terrifying.
YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO GOOD!!!
loved your channel.
You know that PPG episode #3 just made me wonder what about the other bad guys/Monsters of the show have they also became victims of Him too? or did they just leave town because they new Him won?
The scariest moment from my childhood, was from The Land Before Time; when the dinosaurs are covered in tar, and they're stacked on top each other, creating this monster-looking creature, and scare the shit out of Sarah (and me, when I was little).
The sharptooth was horrible to as a kid, even now it's still scary.
Agreed. It's nice to have a civilized conversation with people on the internet seeing as there's so many trolls on CZcams who just love to get attention by harassing other people online. That really gets on my nerves. Thanks for wishing me luck. I'm gonna need it.
I was gonna make a joke about you having a top 10 powerpuff girls video, then I realized I knew exactly what episode you were talking about in this video. Lol nice video man.
who shit there pants when monster ock starts chasing you in spider man game for ps1
Oh shit i remember that dude 😂
Majora's Mask, so creepy it has a creepypasta!
I never thought about the Powerpuff Girls episode. :/
Never the less your vids are really great!
I like that you make your list short and to the point. Meanwhile, people make one-hour list of these things. :D
10:16 There is no spoon.
16:43 is creepy af.
Also, Giygas was too.
I'm a bit surprised you didn't put the black Nightmare goop from Little Nemo in your list. That stuff scared the crap out of me, and convinced me I had dreamed an entire day! Granted, I was 6, and I watched it again since then, but that goop still creeps me out.
You released this on my birthday
I think this one episode of, Samurai Jack when, Akuo tricks jack into going to this grave yard, and not only does jack fight akuo but some other zombies as well. Also in that episode before akuo appeared the whole mood of that episode was really deserping.
Yeah I felt disturbed because Jack could've actually died
noseferatu appearance in spongebob that was scary
I couldn't sleep for weeks and I was only 6 when I first saw it
I was scared but now it is funny
Your right, It was disturbing, but now it's funny
What about patrick's scary noises.. they're horrifying...
*leeddle leeddle leeddle lee*
Not really scary in my opinion. It startled me slightly, but didn't do more than that. It was more funny than anything
this made my day, seriousl so much love i felt myself smile at my childhood X3
Nice list
Nintendo does everything friendly and colorful........except when it comes to Zelda
When I was little I used to be terrified of the part when Scooby and Shaggy fall in that hole and Morgan Moonscar comes to life right in front of them.
AMEN
How about the camera footage part?
you are awesome! you should make more videos!
I come back to this video every October
NO! THE CREATOR DID NOT SAY #1 WAS A COINCIDENCE! Its not a theory, its the fact said BY THE CREATOR Gygas is an aborted fetus, the reason the creator added it to the game was because when he was a kid he accidently walked into the wrong movie screen room in a movie, and thought he witnessed a rape scene, mentally scarring him,so he wanted to put that into the game (the aborted fetus of the raped woman) its not a theory, and he did not say it was a coincidence. Hes the one who said that, the theory part is that "thats why the games called mother." etc. but what I said up there is facts confirmed by the creator himself.
So he wanted to scar children just like he was scarred? o-o
His motives I cant explain, but what i said up there is true.

Nick Carbaugh
Its youtube i shouldnt have to. But I can tell you the movie He walked in on:The Military Policeman and the Dismembered Beauty is the name of it, (The english name of course)
Nick Carbaugh
He doesnt necesarily say its an aborted fetus, but he says its "A living being in need of being taken care of." and that it was based on the rape scene (Well what he thought was a rape scene), which 1. Being that is in need of care and 2. Based from what he believed was a rape scene he saw as a child its obviously an aborted fetus. (plus the shape.) and I can ASSURE you, in no interview did he say its "a coincidence"
the Groke and Are you afraid of the dark :(
I love the song you picked for the countdown music.
amen, my friend. I actually never saw the movie, but stumbled upon that collection of scenes. The image of robin as a mini joker still haunts me...
The scene from Avatar: The Last Airbender in the episode "The Puppetmaster" where the old woman teaches Katara blood bending is creepy as hell. You should check it out if you haven't seen it. You can watch the full episode on Vimeo.
I watched that episode and it's one ofthe most HORRIFYING things I've ever watched in my life!!!!
Whoa dude what is that transition music?!
+Azuel Zorro Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad
MSTVD
NOT THAT SONG. :(

That specific mentioning of cell haunted me for a while. That image of the guy getting drained (the view of the tail) and his face melting really creeped me out.
courage the cowardly dog messed me up big time. Ramses and the violin playing girl in the rats motel.
Try for shorter breaks between the top ten.
So I'm not the only one that was scared by #6! Love the ending by the way, thanks!
nice vid man
A little constructive criticism here. Your transitions are too long and too redundant. The length would be ok if the scenes were ever so slightly different each time. I may be wrong, but it is a real turn off for me. I am a huge consumer of CZcams content and I believe I know what I'm talking about.
For me, since I was a huge Scooby-Doo fan as a kid, that part made me go ":O" It was a moment where shit got real.
I agree but i loved it
I love your list also i was wondering whats the name and artis of the song you play every time you chang the next number on your list
OMG, I'm watching this on Halloween a year later and when you said, "It's Halloween," I freaked out a little bit.
This video is awesome
I was surprised Orochimaru was here c: Im automatically subscribing to you now
I think this is the first time I've seen someone put zombie island in a countdown! I'm glad you did though, brought back those.......childhood......memories....
Where did you get the music in between the picks? its epic!
me too man as an younger kid thats tv experience like this kidda started me to rock out
Zombie Island EASILY had the best soundtrack
I'm surprised you didn't mention Bowser's death from New Super Mario Bros. or Crocomire's death from Super Metroid. Awesome list!
Nice job putting the lavender town theme in this videi
Glad we could end this on a civil note. Best of luck in your endeavors.
thanks a lot :D
This is cool man! I love the music! What is it called? :)
Great list, but what is that black smoke/lava monster from the number change clips?
thanks love that line!
Number 9 is (technically) the 2nd to last boss in KH 1. love it.
Plus there was that one boss battle in Dream Drop Distance, but people overlook that.
i remember so much of this seriously
This was seven years ago, holy crap dude.
I will, and nice new profile pic :3
Night on Bald Mountain scared my the most when I was a kid, but it was my favorite from Fantasia, I couldn't stop watching it, it was fascinating.
one of the things that got me was NeoPets: The Darkest Farie, 2 moments, 1 was the never ending staircase, where you had to find a combination or you were trapped there forever with this weird music and whenever you went past something, this loud sound would happen, that and the first time that the main city is attack by the darkness
The moment I remember scaring me the most is at the beginning of The Pagemaster, when the library color tidal wave happens. It terrified me. The Gulliver moment in that movie also scared me a lot.
Invader zim scared me as a kid lol.
I wish youd add subtitles or captions to your vids :)
i like them but sometimes I cant hear
As a fellow 90's kid, I can agree with your list
Wait what!? That is crazy, I want to hear more details about this. As a kid I watched the whole series and didn"t notice anything like that
it's awesome!!!
when i was younger i was always scared of the burned face under Darth Vader's mask in return of the Jedi.
Awesome video, man~
[Spoilers ahead, beware ;D]
When I was really little, I really liked watching the Land Before Time movies (with the talking dinosaurs) and I got really freaked out in the first movie when all the baby dinos got covered in tar, I think, and freaked out Cera... yeah that scared me so bad as a kid...
I always remembered the song from Scooby Doo on Zombie Island. Its so awesome. Speed Demon and Knock it Off from the Powerpuff Girls also creeped me out when I was little
good video
