Hello! Today I paint a simple cityscape. Trattoria in a small italian town. Terrace with sea view. Evening lights and sailboats.
Colors: raw umber, black, white, sky blue, yellow deep, pink, mid green.
Canvas: 12 x 8 inch (30 x 20 cm)
Paints: I use acrylic, you can also use oil (painting technique is the same)

Hello Sir... wonderful work yet again. Thank you for the positive inspiration we get from your artworks. Could you please let me know what brushes you use. Seems you prefer shading brushes. Please help me find out where to buy them from. Thank you
Thanks for the kind words. Sorry, I didn't understand what you mean by "shaded brushes". Brushes: Large flat bristle brush (38 cm wide). Synthetics are good too. (I bought from a hardware store). Bristle brush No. 18 (or 20) (sold in the art store). Flat brushes # 7, # 4, # 2, # 1 (synthetic (can't tell exactly what material)) are also sold in an artistic goods

Beautiful art! I am just a beginner; but, I'm thinking of trying this to send to a friend of a friend, of a friend, (she is in a Long Term Care home and doesn't get any visitors), and she's Italian. Do you by chance have any other ideas of something Italian? And may I ask the blue "hill" on the left side of the painting, is that the ground? (Just wondering why it is blue.) We are very glad that you liked this landscape. Thank you for such an extended comment! This video shows evening time. After sunset. Therefore, I wanted to paint over everything that is far away (hills) with a tinted blue tint.
