Injustice 2 is a fighting video game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game was released in May 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Similar to the previous installment, a companion mobile app was released for iOS and Android devices.
The core gameplay remains similar to its predecessor, albeit with minor adjustments to returning game mechanics. Injustice 2 introduces a new feature called the Gear System, a loot-dropping system that rewards players with costume pieces and equipment that can be used to customize characters' appearances and modify their abilities and stats. According to developers, the idea for implementing an RPG-style progression system into a fighting game had existed since before the fall of Midway Games, the original publisher for the Mortal Kombat series. Director Ed Boon also sought to incorporate gameplay mechanics used by multiplayer shooter games, such as personalization, character creation, loot, and leveling up, into the fighting game genre, which led to the development of the Gear System.
Injustice 2's storyline centers around Batman and his insurgency's attempt to restore society after the fall of Superman's regime; however, the arrivals of the newly formed supervillain group "The Society" and the alien Brainiac force Batman to consider freeing the imprisoned Superman to help combat the threats. The game received positive reviews from critics, who praised its story, presentation, improved gameplay mechanics, and character customization options, while criticizing its random loot and microtransaction systems.

This is so well written. The dropping down on his knees only after superman collapsed showed that batman was fighting at the end only with this indomitable will to never quit. And then the first thing he says to kara is that, he's sorry. Why is he sorry? Because being the beacon of justice that he is, he wanted to save superman from his downfall. Amazing writing.

Absolute Justice is the REAL true ending of Injustice 2, not some dark, terrifying, horrifying, cliffhanging bad ending like Superman’s ending Absolute Power.

When batman said "I couldn't save him." I felt a way cause superman is practically a God and he needs no saving... but the one time he needed saving and needed to be saved from himself by his best friend and seeing batman fail in the interrogation room really hit differently.. i was really sad to think of our childhood boy scout as a 'hero' from that point on.. and that's when I heard of the name "Homelander" shortly after this.

This “human” took a kryptonian pill enhancing his physical state, it’s pretty much equal to 2 kryptonians duking it out except one knows martial arts and the other uses brute force.

The problem with letting Brainiac live is, he could just as easily erase the cities like Superman unintentionally did. Sure, he'd be more likely to succeed in the restoration than Supes, but how would you MAKE him go about that?
That's another issue, though. Even with the massive losses, the people on earth who lost THEIR loved ones deserve closure, too. You can't just kill the one responsible and expect that to be good enough for everyone. Hence, the absolute justice.
Not to mention the obvious that Supes would fuck the earth
If you let a killer kill. Do you believe you would bear some responsibility? If you had the power to prevent a murder, no matter how badly you want to cross that line and see something evil suffer for what it’s done. Do you think you can live with yourself? The point is that while Batman wants him dead, it’s a line he wishes to never cross himself. Nor letting anyone fall down the same path. It’s as he puts it, if he were to start killing. He would never come back. Brainiac should be killed but that’s something that goes against the no killing rule. HOWEVER! He has broken it explicitly for Darkseid, so there’s a limit.

That part where batman punches and kicks superman u can hear like crunching sounds, idk if its a subtle detail that as batman is hitting superman he is hurting himself since punching the most powerful man of steel is not something anyone can do, his knuckles must definitely not be in good condition if it wasnt for the suit absorbing most of the pain and allowing him to keep moving about.

The worst part about this game is that ultimately, in the end, no one really wins. Not completely at least. 😔 Kara lost the last of her family (for now, hopefully), the world lost who knows how many of its heroes and icons to either death, madness, or villainy. And yet…it could ALWAYS get worse. So, so much worse…
Well, depends on if you count some of the Battle Simulator endings as canon. Kara's ending implies that after they stopped Brainiac and Supes, They were eventually able to restore Krypton's Cities.

@@kuraikage9871 if you go to Muliverse Mode in Single Player, there's a bunch of different Earth's that always change difficulty and rewards. But one is just called Battle Simulator where you can basically use any character at any level in a basic Arcade Mode style. At the end is always Braniac and if you complete it you get a special ending for whatever character you play as. Some are heartwarming, some are tragic, some are just plain twisted.

bats was extremely merciful with superman in this. When he first hit him with the gold kryptonite it was a warning to tell him to just stop and submit and even told him any persistance and he would've depowered him permanantly. Bats still wanted to give him a shot by not using it in their final fight as even he wouldnt go as far as to strip him of his power still seeing that superman could be useful some day again.

I discovered something on the internet about Superman's descent into madness, saying that Batman has been berating him for killing the Joker, believing that wasn't right and after seeing that, I painfully learned that everything in Injustice really is Batman's fault, because of that and the fact that he would never kill the Joker, in spite of his crimes. I was shocked to have learned that, because I was always on Batman's side on this whole thing, especially after Superman mercilessly killed Shazam, but I have felt like being on Superman's side after hearing others on CZcams point out that Batman is the one responsible for Superman becoming a monster.

This is why Batman is my favorite hero in DC. Other than his morals that make him a better person than Superman, he’s the most tactically brilliant mind in the DC universe. Contingency plans are his contingency plans. He has new tricks up his sleeve even when you think you beaten the first tricks he’s used.

You can only cut a kryptonite so much with human tech. Even with all his might, batman can only turn that pile of kryptonite into the tip of a huge spear. And use some for his smoke grenades. To have it implemented and intergrated to function with his batsuit, he would need the necessary tool to extract them effectively and then build a suit functional enough to carry the kryptonite around.
