The difference is that this kid is a built like a fire plug and hard to get ahold of. He's over 200lbs and only 5'7". Paris has a much smaller build and is why he gets injured. This kid can step in and not miss a beat.

0:36 You clipped off the best part of this play. Immediately after the cut, Blake flashes a “6-5” to the camera before getting swarmed by his teammates. Blake’s teammate Zak Zinter, number 65 (drafted two picks after Corum tonight by Cleveland!) had his leg pretty severely broken on the play before which made the 110k person Michigan Stadium go just about dead quiet in the biggest rivalry game of the year. From the depths of the quiet eventually rose chants of “Let’s Go Zak!” and the play immediately after the injury timeout was 0:36 and brought the entire crowd completely back to life which you can hear in that clip. That moment of Blake showing the 6-5 immediately after for Zak shows exactly who he is as a person. Not only did the Rams get a bowling ball of an RB, but they got a great guy too.

Watched every snap at UM. Congrats LA, you got the Funsize version of Mike Alstott - A bowling ball, with insane balance, and quick feet. This version is faster but still hits like a truck.
He plays like the defense is trying to kill him. Also has a sleeper build which can be very good with his size as he hides behind blocking. Very underrated and Rams got a steal in him

Corum is certainly capable of it, but Michigan almost never runs screens. They’re so good at defending them, I think they psych themselves out of running them in practice 🤣

He dropped for superficial reasons. He had a lot of touchdowns that were less than 20 yards and he ran a 4.5 40. The scouts failed to realize that every time he got the ball, the box was stacked against him and he still ate. Congratulations Blake! Go Blue!
Go to the 2:15 mark and watch Corum's superb run. He had to make a sharp cut early on to get to the sideline, and that let J.J., who in a "love of the game" move, trailing Corum, to run past him like Corum was standing still, and get in the way of the last defender, allowing Corum to make the end zone. I'd never before seen a QB make a key block 50 yeards downfield. Faster than Corum, and willing to run 50+ yards in the offhand chance he might be able to make a meaningful block. That tells you a lot about J.J.'s compulsion to win football games. Overrated you say?
What about Cooper Dejean? I love that guy-- pure football player who makes big plays and he dropped way below the expectation. Fiske was a steal. Verse was a top 10 talent who could have gone anywhere between six and eight in last year's draft and we got him at 19. Kameron Kichens is a top 50 talent and look where they got him. I think a lot of these GMs outhink themselves
