  • The Common Projects Achilles Low have some-what of a cult status in the world of sneakers. They are touted as a premium shoe that has a premium price tag to go with it. In this video I give my honest review of this legendary sneaker.

    Awesome review, incredibly durable; have had my first pair since 2014 which I recently resoled. So many ‘alternatives’ like Koio etc but I favour the CP look

    Mine are 2 years old ....wear them 3-4 times a week. Once broken in super comfortable. Age extremely well and the sole is bullet proof. As long as the CP’s last 3 years, which they are basically guaranteed to last that long.Worth every penny😉.

    @ynysvon Před 2 lety +5

    Ive had my CPs for about four years, don't wear them everyday, mainly weekends, and they are still in great shape. The Rose Anvil video was a bit disappointing, you can get cheaper and better made but he still voted them the best white trainers for style.

    Yeah they look really cool when you are sipping y’ beer. Would love to see what they look like with some on trend socks, the no sock look is so 2023. Great stuff, thanks duuuuuuuude

    C-QP is another good sneaker brand, very similar in aesthetics and quality to Common Projects but they have the added benefit of having a shank. Really helps when you’re someone like me who has a low arch

    As someone who owns a pair of CPs and MMM GATs, and likes both, I prefer the MMM GATs.
    The elastic band inside the shoe ensures a snug fit, and they are overall more comfortable, while still looking sharp.
    I've been looking for a pair myself, but you can find the GATs in an all white upper leather with a gum sole as an alternative to the white Achilles Low.

    Love my CPs, definitely agree on them being good value long term especially if you can get a discounted price which does happen on non white colour ways now and again. My only slight issue is the sizing is weird, long and narrow.

    I have both CPs and Koio’s, tbh, the Koio’s are what CP would be if they updated the design. Thicker insole and more cushion on the heel gives a better overall fit.
    The leather is different on the Koio, not as soft and a little thicker, that’s a plus for me since it doesn’t crease as much as the CP.
    Also the waxed cotton laces are such much better than the cheap ones on the CP

    I think cp´s are the creme della creme for those niche consumers who wear for the eastethic and would compare them with denim heads who is all about redline jeans (selvedge) Yea you can buy kois for cheaper but that's not why the cp appeals for followers of the brand

    I think they are good for a $150 USD shoe but at $400 there’s an expectation that the finer details / finishes should be better. A cheaper-priced shoe should last just as long as these.

    If I'm a half size like 9.5 US (Between 42 and 43EU), should I size down to a 42 or 41 for a snug fit?

    • @zoomemail
      @zoomemail Před rokem +1

      I’m a TTS 9.5 and even wear 10s in some older Air Max 1s and Gel Lyte 3s/5s, I personally think CPs run pretty big if you don’t have a wide foot. I got a 41, and with thin no-shows, I almost feel like I could go down to a 40.5, albeit slightly snug at that size.
      IMO, stick to a 41 if you don’t have a wide foot. I literally just tried mine on 10 mins ago.
