I loved seeing the intro when I was younger. I was 10 when I first started watching this show, in 2007.
I take a time warp back in the days when this comes on. Reminiscing over the times watching this with my cousins, brothers and nieces and nephews. Breakfast every Saturday morning. God I miss East Flatbush, Brooklyn.

According to the 80s smurfs cartoon, Gargamel learned about the smurfs when he was a teenager in wizard school and ever since then, he has spent much of his life trying to capture them and destroy them, eat them, or turn them into gold.
Smurfs' Adventures is the syndicated version of the original Saturday morning Smurfs cartoon show. It first aired on various independent stations in 1986, then was later moved to the USA cable network in the early 1990s, then it was moved to Cartoon Network, and aired on Boomerang from April 1, 2000 to August 1, 2022 and returned to rotation on February 6, 2023. 26 episodes of this series was acquired by DIC Entertainment (the same studio known for their staple of shows Inspector Gadget, The Littles, Rainbow Brite, Heathcliff, M.A.S.K., Jayce And The Wheeled Warriors, Care Bears, Kissyfur, Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling, The Real Ghostbusters, Dennis the Menace, Dinosaucers, ALF, The New Archies, Hello Kitty, C.O.P.S., Alvin and the Chipmunks, G.I. Joe, The Super Mario Bros., Captain N, New Kids on the Block, Captain Planet, Swamp Thing, Hammerman, Pro Stars, Wish Kid, Super Dave, Sonic the Hedgehog, Madeline, Carmen Sandiego, Street Sharks, Sailor Moon, Mummies Alive!, Sabrina: The Animated Series, Alienators: Evolution Continues, Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action!, Speed Racer X, Liberty's Kids, Stargate Infinity, Strawberry Shortcake, Knights of the Zodiac, Trollz and Horseland) and Tribune Entertainment and aired as part of DiC's E/I-compliant children's programming block The Incredible World of DIC Kids' Network for broadcast stations in the mid 2000's. On August 7, 2023, the series began airing on Discovery Family. In Canada, it aired on Teletoon Retro, a channel devoted to popular cartoon series of the past. Unlike the original show, Smurfs Adventures ran in a 30-minute format, featuring either one long episode or two short episodes. In the early years, when Season 1 episodes were shown, the shorter-length episodes would have edits in order for them to fit within the show's running time. As other seasons began to air, shorter episodes were also time-compressed, resulting in the voices and the soundtrack sounding rather helium-ish. It is not known whether either of the two four-part episodes, Season 6's "Smurfquest" or Season 7's "Smurf On The Wild Side", were ever shown in this syndicated format. The Season 9 episodes were, at least, broadcast, using the same intro sequence used for that season.
Smurfs Adventures uses a shortened version of the original show's Season 4 intro sequence, though with no Smurf hopping onto a mushroom at the end when the show's title (modified to read SMURFS ADVENTURES with the "created by Peyo" byline added) is displayed. However, two episodes from Season 6 use the original intro from the exact season instead.
For seasons 1 through 4, the Season 4 closing theme is also used for the closing credits, instead of the original respective NBC version arrangements. For season 1, the closing theme was shortened to match, while in seasons 2-4, the longer version of Season 4's closing theme was used. Starting with season 5, the original NBC closing themes are used, although the intro sequence remains the same.
Posting more capes than Massachusetts, the Super Friends are coming up next on Cartoon Network. Get it? Massachusetts? Massachusetts, Cape Cod, Cape Hatteras, and the Super Friends, they would... forget it.

In my opinion, I consider Season 9 non-canon, due to time travel series. No offence.
Dude you do realize that there were other different intros besides that one, like the one that included Johann and Peewit.
I think they were just using the syndicated edits here.
