Just started watch community where, in turn, found Danny Pudi and went on a spree to watch everything he's in. Quickly realized Danny Pudi is one of the most charismatic, down-to-earth, hilarious and humble actors today. He's so underrated and I would love to see him in future roles get to play with the huge range of acting he has

Just binged Community. Best show I’ve ever watched and I’ll love it forever. Danny Pudi is such an incredible person, on and off the screen, which is so inspiring to see.
He’s so talented and hardworking. It’s crazy how incredibly different he is from Abed, and how easily he can switch from one to the other (Ken and Joel were raving on their podcast about how unlike some actors, he needed zero time to get into character). It’s also wild how much research he poured into every episode of Community just to understand all of Abed’s references. Not to mention he’s got a crazy range of roles he can play. In short, he’s the most underrated actor I have ever seen.
Great actor, loved him in Community, 6 seasons and a movie! Wish him getting more roles in the future.

Who is the one idiot who put a thumbs down? Danny Pudi, thank you for being an American actor of Indian-European descent. Thank you for breaking the codes and for playing human beings rather than stereotypes. This has been the start of real television.
There are sporadic instances on Community where Abed's ethnicity is pointed out, but it's done in a way that lampshades those who would make a thing of it, as opposed to in any sort of exploitative context. Harmon and Pudi nailed this.

i think he means for example the character pierce often saying racist things about abed, but the audience is clearly expected to recoil or laugh out of embarrassment rather than jump on board with the racism

He didn’t lie in Community, his mom really is Polish
There is an episode where he brings an Arabic dish and Shirley is the one that says something racist- but again racist in good taste.. She assumes women are forbidden to eat it, to get out of eating it. The show is full of perfectly crafted racism, like Chang saying there is no difference between Chinese and Koreans

im glad cape is including more asians outside of east asia. even though im of east asian descent myself, i find that a lot of south asian american, middle eastern american, and southeast asian american people share our experiences in a lot of ways and yet still have a really distinct perspective to share

He's such a sweet person, I've continued Community which was a show I watched when I was like 10 and Abed really gives me so much comfort when I need it, I'm really glad Danny pursued this path, he's amazing.
I'd like to see more south Asians represented, they're often over looked.
