I am one of the girls that she mentioned who grew up with Mulan and I remember how proud I felt at the time to see a Chinese protagonist in a Disney movie. I have learned and touched by you, I am not Asian, but North African living in Europe and I feel the struggles of being an immigrant and how extra hard we have to go for jobs we are more than qualified for that white people usually don't have to work that hard to get in. I am not sure if this is the same as show business or hollywood, but it is still tough and we need positive representation and a chance to make our voices heard through the mediums of arts and entertainment.

I love all the IAm videos but as a young girl I was one of those who grew up with Mulan and wanted to be just like her and to see her on Agents of Shield now as May is amazing. It's so, so inspiring now as a young Asian American woman who's passionate about entertainment and the arts to hear her give voice to issues echoed by many Asian American fans today about the frustration of specific Asian American roles getting passed up and how the perception of Asian Americans as timid or a model minority need to be changed. For those of us who can't go to the big city events thanks for posting these videos!
