Thank you for this well educated upload.
Pix of Major General Ironsi made me cry. He is never appreciated. Obviously due to the January 1966 coup in Nigeria. His involvement in the coup is still debatable despite the fact that all accounts from the plotters proved his innocence. His refusal to announce the events of the coup and possibly court martial the coup plotters made the situation worse. I rate him high though. His UN mission in Congo DR, crushing the January 1966 coup and his numerous attempts to unify the country after the coup (of course, he has seen the damages of disintegration in Congo DR) God bless his soul 🙏
