- Like many buyers of the excellent ATLAS electric lawn mower I discovered Harbor Freight doesn’t sell replacement blades. There is a pdf sheet listing replacement parts and prices, but I could not find a way to purchase the parts on the HF website. So it turns out these movers are Greenworks mowers, in orange and black. In this video I share the blade info you need to order a replacement blade.
Hey I appreciate this man this is good information I just bought one of these mowers and was wondering where I could get a replacement blade I ran across your video and thank you so much for that
I bought it online from MAXTOOLS. They are in Canada. Good price and fast delivery. They follow up to be sure you’re happy with the item. Now I sharpen the blade that’s off, and rotate them 2-3 times a season.
Thanks for making this vid! Just FYI, The blade is available through Harbor Freight if you call their parts dept. The part # is 23677 and includes the bolt, washer and fan and cost a little over $30.00 shipped.
Thx for this video. Fyi, the blade bolt torque is 28 ft-lb, and is listed in the plastic flap that covers where the bag attaches.
Greenworks and Kobalt blades are also compatible. Same voltage batteries for Greenworks and Kobalt are compatible too with slight modification of one of the rivets along with Snapper electric.
Solid. I got one yesterday and today I wondered about blade replacement. All questions answered.
You just call the number on the pdf for Harbor Freight and order over the phone. Ive had to order replacement heads for the trimmer and called and ordered it as well. FYI
I bought mine too open box. Spent more money on the battery and charger. Then bought another battery since it takes me about an hour and fifteen minutes to cut my whole property. It switches flawlessly
I went through the same battery progression. Still running strong. But a well-fertilized spring lawn grows a bit fast and thick. I have to mow 3 times per week to not overwhelm this mower. No big deal as mowing is also my walking workout when grass needs cutting.
Outstanding INFO and how-to! Many thanks. These mowers are excellent specially with their new larger battery 80V 4.0 Ah.
Thanks. I agree these mowers are a great value.
Easy way to know blade rotation is to note which way the bolt turns to loosen. If you turn the bolt left to loosen then the cutting edge should be oriented to the left at the 12 o'clock position. So reverse threaded bolts indicate a clockwise blade rotation, where as standard threading indicates a counter clockwise rotation.
Good information. I was searching for a blade and thankfully ran into this.
Finally......a really helpful video. Thanks.
Thank you. I couldn’t find a good video either, so I had to make one :)
I biught a replacement blade through HF. You have to call them to do it.
@airpaycheck Do you recall what you paid for the blade plus shipping/handling?
Thanks! Great information!
Thank you for this!!!!
Glad it helped 👍
thanks I have 2 of these mowers very helpful
Nice video. I was curious why the arrows on the blade and on the blade holder point in opposite directions.
The arrows on the plastic impeller are CW (tighten) and CCW (loosen), telling which direction to turn mounting bolt.
What about the assembly (spool with hearts) for the blade? Where can I find that?
The little hearts are off of mine which is causing the blade to rattle.
Thank you!
Hi, thank you so much for making this video - I have the Atlas Brushless V80, had been working great for 2-3 years, now, the blade it not spinning, it starts right up, both batteries 100%, self propelled is good, but blade not working/spinning, so I cannot cut the grass, so bummed!!! I've read it may be a bad belt -but the part list does not list a belt? called HF, no luck, has anyone else had this problem? broken/bad belt? if so, any ideas???lastly, the HF guy said it could be part #30, the switch assembly, said it could get stuck/clogged/dirty, may need wd40? any help or advice would be awesome and appreciated. The mower worked fine 2 weeks ago, now, the blade not spinning.... help, please?
The only way HF has to order parts is to call the number that's on the PDF sheet.
Great video I still have 2 that didn't work and never returned. .Super thankful for your time and information. What do you think about the $250 batteries. I just got one first run and it sounds and feels like a higher overall speed
Tell me more! I have two of the original 80v batteries. I usually kep one on the charger and swap when the first one dies - so one is always charging. Did HF introduce a higher Amp-hour battery? Even at $250 the cost of gas and oil is recovered pretty quickly if mowing more than a quarter acre.
Lowe's has them.
Do you have a link for blade?? I see one on amazon but I don’t think it will fit my 21 inch atlas mower. Thank u!
So you notice any better cut while mulching over the original blade
The blades are identical. I think it mulches very well.
What's your approximate run time on 1 battery. I have heard 20 to 25 minutes.
40+ minutes. If grass is tall and thick it will run at full 80v power and run 20-25 minutes. I mow regularly so mower mostly runs at 40V.
@@jedi_mapperp4073 Thank you. For my yard it takes me around 45 min. so this really helps my purchase decision.
@@Edward-Norton I bought a 2nd 80V battery so I’d have plenty of charge. Two batteries fit in the compartment. It switches to the second battery seamlessly.
Why would Harbor Freight sell a mower and not sell its blade?? Would make me not wanting to buy the mower.
Because now you know which Greenworks blade to get and the HF mower is identical for half the price. There’s satisfaction in this…and the HF warranty will give you a new one no questions asked. Just turn it in.
The atlas mower is very costly. I can’t believe they don’t have replacement blades.
They do, just not in their stores. The mowers are priced low compared to the competitors
