SCREAMING, "THE HOUSE IN THE CERULEAN SEA" AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE VIDEO.
But seriously thanks for these recs. I also LOVED This How You Lose the Time War when I read it. I remember crying about it at work soooo 👀👀🙈🙈
I’m currently reading cerulean sea and LOVING it.
The House In The Cerulean Sea is one of my favorites!
I’m SO EXCITED to read this book!!!!!! 😭😭😭
@@ProblemsofaBookNerd it's my new favorite book of ALL time!!! 💖💖💖 so ya know no pressure 😂😂😂
Same. I adored that book.
I just finished Cantoras not too long ago and it has my whole heart.
April is messy and I love her for it. The sequel adds the two other girls who are gay and I loved their perspectives so much
1) I love your shirt
2) I need Luminous Dead
so many wonderful books on the list, to add some more:
On Earth We Were Briefly Gorgeous
House of Impossible Beauties
In the Dream House
THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE THE TIME WAR YES!!! (There is also some great fanfiction for it if that's something you like to read! =D )
Also, have you read Sooner Or Later Everything Falls Into the Sea by Sarah Pinsker? It's a sci-fi anthology featuring several ownvoices f/f stories - don't know how many because I am still reading the book, but it's amazing so far!
Oh my god, I had not heard of that! I’m definitely adding it to my TBR, thank you 💖
@@ProblemsofaBookNerd No problem! I hope you love it!
Yes, please do another series like this! So insightful! I've put all the titles on my list!
I've read so many books this year, and The Luminous Dead is HANDS DOWN the best book of my year so far.
There are two books here that’s already on my radar and now I have to pick them up,thank you for the recommendations!
Every single one of these sound amazing, hopping on the first 2 immediately!!!
I was just searching for this 2 days ago! Right on time!
I wish my library carried more of these books, but so excited for all these recommendations! Just finished An Absolutely Remarkable Thing and loved the fast pace and thought-provoking questions it raised. Thanks!
I just joined a book club with some friends, and our first pick was 'This Is How You Lose the Time War' which I remembered you talking about, so I was very excited about it!
Loved the video! I'm gonna add Real Life to my tbr asap!
Great video, thank you. I have Meet Cute Club on my TBR list.
very excited about Nevada!! can not wait to read it :>
Great list. I’m currently reading Redefining Realness by Janet Mock.
Most of them are so expensive here in Brasil 😢
But I'm gonna try to read the 2 that are available on Kindle Unlimited 😍
quais estaooo?
@@yasminsilva1099 Nevada(Imogen Binnie) e Cantoras (Carolina de Robertis)
I just saw you in an add for a book box, at first I thought I clicked the wrong video haha
I picked up a copy of An Unkindness of Ghosts last year but I still haven't read it -- thanks for the reminder that I should get to it pronto!
Great video! I'm currently reading "This Is How You Lose The Time War" and I'm really enjoying it so far! :)
I LOVE This is How You Lose the Time War, and I'm so glad I learned about its existence from you - it 100% is THE most romantic book of all time, hands-down
So many good recommendations! Thanks!
Thank you so much for recs! I've only read TIHYLTTW and loved it. And unfortunately the writing style of Book Club didn't work for me. But all the rest sound amazing.
I'm in the middle of The Vanished Birds and I'm loving it! Talking about messy queer characters. They're all so well done.
The ones I did finish and would recommend are On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous, which is one of the most beautiful books I've read. Novellas by P. Djeli Clark because they always make me feel hopeful. And for a romance A Little Light Mischief by Cat Sebastian. It was such a cute story.
Oh, those sound really interesting, thank you for these recommendations! Haven't read any of those, but I've heard of them. Except for 'Almost like being in love' which sounds like it could be a fun read :D
I have a queer adult book recommendation for you. Eddie & Alan is written by black gay author Anthony Amiewalan. It sheds light on the complexities of relationships between men, the fluidity of sexuality, and what happens when the lines are blurred.
The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne is an absolute favorite book of mine, it’s so good. It’s so heartbreaking but also full of hope and I would definitely recommend it!
A: queer biochemistry grad student here! I don’t know how I’ve never heard of Real Life but that’s just jumped to the absolute top of my TBR!! Absolutely loving this new 10 in 10 series 💗💗
"Published one minute ago" Cece, daMN you're so busy with your uploads!! Queer adults I'm delighted!
I finally got my adjusted meds and all of a sudden my brain is ready to accomplish things 😅 I just keep making things, I can’t be stopped.
@@ProblemsofaBookNerd proud of you Cece! Meds can make a huge difference. ❤️
I've being dying to read Cantoras since you've first talked about it, but it's SO EXPENSIVE here in Brazil!
And I'll leave here my recommendation of a queer Brazilian adult book: Amora, by Natália Borges Polesso. It's a collection of short stories that was translated to English this year, I believe? It's in the same vein of weirdness and beautiful prose as Salt Slow and Her Body and Other Parties (although I feel it has less elements of horror than these two). Highly recommend!
i dont know if you have read "a beautifully foolish endeavor" , the sequel to "an absolutely remarkable thing", but i liked that book even more and it is so so so so SO good
Great suggestions 🙌
The luminous dead and Meet cute club do seem like fun.
An unkindness of ghosts was great.
Meet Cute Club is amazing. An easy 5 stars a and I'm tempted to reread it a month later.
Please please please please read The House in the Cerulean Sea! It has a really great found family and reminds me of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Good Omens!
Yes 2nd part!
*adds more books to my 5+ page list of books I deeply want*
yesssss I'm so glad to see Ivan E. Coyote on this list!!!!
I just read Better than people by Roan Parrish. That one was super great, I loved it! It's still available on Netgalley I think, if you're interested.
Ohhh, awesome! I have a contact at the publisher so I'm definitely going to try to get a copy of this! It sounds fabulous 💖
I got to go to an event for Real Life right before everything went to shit with the pandemic, and one thing he said that I was very amused by was when he said that the town was Madison, WI, but he didn't name it because he knew people would nitpick if he got details about the town, but because of the details he did put in (including ones referred to by fictitious names, like "the pier"=the terrace), people figured it out.
1 request; can u hold the book vertically? I want to take screen shots of them so I can look them up later. Thanks
Do you have any poly romances you’d recommend?
I'll give you the sun is a fantastic book.
This is 10 in even less than 10 minutes because of the Skillshare sponsorship lol
Suprised that you didn't mention The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
What's the representation of this is how you lose the time war?
The book isn’t really clear on either character. I would argue probably pansexual for both women. And the authors are pretty open to most visualizations of both women, again it isn’t really clarified. They’re most commonly pictured as both women of color! The only thing that is clear is that they are both women and they have no issue being with another woman in a relationship.
