  • Today I made these homemade giant Malteser chocolate bites and they are genuinely delicious; check out the recipe below. These cake pop type bites remind me of the Malteser Bunnies, which are my absolute favourite, and they are unbelievably simple and easy to make and great fun for young kids and big kids like me!

To make this for yourself you will need:
    ♡ 250g/8⅘oz/1⅓ cup white chocolate
    ♡ Horlicks malt drink powder
    ♡ Pinch of salt
    ♡ ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
    ♡ 300g/10½oz/1⅔ cup milk chocolate
    Equipment you will need:
    ♡ Mixing bowl
    ♡ Saucepan
    ♡ Skewers
    ♡ Spatula
    ♡ Cake pop mould
    ♡ Tall Glass
    Method:
    1. Melt the white chocolate until smooth. Add a pinch of salt and the vanilla extract and mix to combine. Then add in the malt powder a bit at a time, stirring until it forms a stiff dough.
    2. Roll into balls and transfer into a cake pop mould, making sure that the mould is completely full. Then place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
    3. Once chilled and firm, remove from the mould and trim off the excess.
    4. Push a skewer into each of the balls and dip into melted chocolate. Keep twisting the skewer to make sure there is a nice even and smooth layer of chocolate all round. Once the chocolate has stopped dripping, place the skewer upright in a tall glass to set. Once set remove from the skewer and you have your finished Malteser bites.
