I love mids personally. Because if you have big calves, the highs are so uncomfortable. And this goes for any high tops. I have a pair of Air Force 1 highs... and I barely wear them. Because throughout my fitness journey, the body shape has changed. So when your legs get a little thicker, high tops get uncomfortable and they will look goofy on you. They'll make your legs look shorter. So I prefer mids and lows.
I wear my J1s at the gym and the mids are more comfortable on the back of the heal. So glad there are haters on the mids, keeps the price reasonable .

Mids actually get a lot of love here in the Philippines, considering we're a country of much shorter people compared to Americans. The mids don't take up as much space on our legs as much as the highs do so it's very popular here. The highs and lows are still more popular but the mids aren't as ignored as other countries probably.

The price of mids is outrageous, I mean these pieces of shit are almost all under 300 dollars, if the sneaker isn't 300 dollars or more, than you are broke and the sneakers is absolute garbage. Now on to the next point, quality. The materials they use on these things are so bad. They crease worse and have no satisfying feel when you touch the shoe. You cannot do creasing fixes such as ironing the toe box because mids are not made with such materials such as leather. On to our 3rd point, possibly the most debatable point, jumpan. The jump man is the most idiotic thing you could put on a jordan 1. I hate the jump man so much that instead of calling him jumpman, I call him idiot. Listen Jumpman is a signature jordan representative, but it looks horrible on the jordan 1. Now talking about the idiotic colorways. Most of them suck and that's all there is to say. To conclude, I went over the main points including quality, idiot jumpman, colorways, and price. Mids are garbage man you gotta get highs. Not everyone wants to spend 300 dollars on a Jordan, there are plenty of Jordan’s 1 high going for around 180.
Jordan 1 mids are not garbage. Jordan highs aren’t either they are both mediocre leather, but Jordan 1 high has better quality. Jordan 1 mids do have nice colorways for relative cheap prices ($130) therefore making them a really good deal and even outperform the Jordan 1 high (>$180) in price to performance ratio
I got my highs for €170 and it’s a fact that there’s no quality difference between a Jordan high for around $170 and a different pair of Jordans high which retails at $350. So no, Shoes under 300 aren’t garbage at all and most people could use the $150 extra very well.

Mids came in some fire ass color schemes and how the shoe game works, they'll be worth something down the line if your patient. Just like the jordan pine green mid se, being worth roughly $350 to $400 from a $125 retail price. I bought them because they were sitting lol. Then they had a sale on ebay. Wear what u like. I really don't understand why people are hating on mids. Some of the colourways have been great. Granted, some of the material hasn't always been the best, but for a cheaper alternative thats more wildly available I think they're pretty great. Starting to feel like people people who call themselves "sneakerheads" and scalp the highs only do it for the money and not actual love for the shoe.
I can't afford highs, can't get them, sell out too quick, I'm not hype and I'm not waking up early to get them and damn sure ain't paying resell. MIDS DESERVE A CHANCE.

mids are rising in prices recently the hype color ways, i was lil suprised that richie was knocking them off, i personally will be purchasing mids to wear and to hold.

Casuals hate mids, real sneakerheads see the value in highs, mids, and lows. They serve different purposes.
but the shape is just ugly af. Something about mid heels is weird, and the Jordan Air on the tongue. It just makes it look tackier, cheaper, and more generic than the other two options that seem more unique.

We talking about the same shoe with same color blocking / colorway one has a jumpman on the heel and tongue and well you know the other. You can’t compare the most fire mid colorway to the crappiest high colorway. We are comparing Chicago’s so don’t get it twisted.
