Gday, I just want to say, I've made 2 technical industry related gpt's and am working on a third. We home school and Im uploading the curriculum and building around that to create a teacher.
Your steps were great and easy to follow. I added some elements from other learning I've done. I added sequential agents as if it was a business you walked into and had a team to help.
They have been great but require many tweaks. It was a little harder than the cookies as I'm building knowledge bases from a large volume of technical information.
There is a limit, but there's workarounds.
It all comes down to how you prompt to get the best result. It has been about 60% on 1 But that information is critical so I've got a lot to do. The 2nd, a little simpler, but still within technical/critical info is about 90%
I've wanted to try this and you prompted me.

I hope he mentions that you can't share the custom GPT for other people to use unless they have GPT Plus. I just wasted a ton of time learning how to create a GPT and came to realize that when I shared it with the audience who I was hoping to benefit from this, they get a message saying the need GPT+ to use it.
That may have changed with 40 release

I would like to upload the data files from custom surveys that we run (very proprietary) to be able to pull out insights from across all of those different surveys. As a for instance, we may have different surveys that ask people from different business functions what their salaries are for their top 3 function executives. This would be 16 separate surveys, but I'd like a GPT that can spit that salary information out for me, without me having to open 16 different files to grab the information. And I need it to be private only to our company, since this information is key to our value to our members. Can this do that? It looks to me like it can.

how can I use my custome chatt GPT's to interpret data from multiple daily reports (Spreadsheets) to provide conclusive summaries pulling data together from all of them as it relates to the items they have in common? Do I need a separate Chat GPT to understand each different daily report...can my customer chat GPT's talk to each other? Can one Chat GPT handle all the instructions related to understanding multiple complex reports?

If you have an API, you can connect to it. Alternatively, you can also upload your data source into your custom GPT to ask questions against it.
