    I don't think I'd react well at all knowing my child died a terrifying, violent death because of the utter cowardice of those who are supposed to jump in to save CHILDREN. I am so sorry for the gut wrenching loss of the parents.

    Thank you DOJ for a true, transparent, and respectable report for the families and us viewers. Also shining the light of the failures of every agency that was there including 911 operators who took calls from inside the class room and dispatch speaking to on-site officers. My heart goes out to all including the family members who fought with officers trying to go in since the agencies weren't doing anything and were detained. The fight was inside the classroom, not with the families. Everyone in school, local, city, and state law enforcement should be ashamed of your careless acts that cost innocent lives. There's more to wearing a badge. Remember St. Michael the Archangel and his duties to Heaven? That badge resembles St. Michael to protect and serve the public.

    I think one of the issue at play that many people don't want to talk about is that police officers have so little training. It is crazy that in most states that barbers/ cosmetologists require far more training than police officers. The lack of training for police officers considering their responsibilities & expectations is laughable.

    • @nrakma
      @nrakma Před 4 měsíci +1

      Can you name a law enforcement agency that has not conducted Active Shooter training in the last 10 years? In fact, most departments train for Active Shooters at their local schools. I agree that officers, especially those in Texas need better training in many other areas. But until Texas puts ballistic shields and ballistic vests in every police vehicle, Texas is setting them up for failure. A dead cop cannot protect kids.

    I know this was a horrific tragedy but how will taking guns from law abiding citizens stop these EVIL people. Then the criminals will be the only one's with guns!
    1. It's illegal to murder
    2. It's illegal to fire a gun in building full of people
    3. It's illegal to fire a gun with in ciry limits
    4. Schools are gun free zones.
    5. It's illegal to use a gun in the commission of a crime.
    6. It's illegal to kidnap/hold someone against their will.
    They are breaking all these laws (more or less depending on location) but they think they will have follow a new law and not buy a gun of the street or steal one. The media needs to STOP giving these murders the attention they want and schools need better trained SROs This shooting wouldn't of happened if the shooter was shot outsude the school but he some how drives passed him.

    It's way past time to have armed security at Public Schools. This would be trained Personnel in these types of events who would have guns secured in a is an accessible place on sight. We don't need traffic cops coming to schools to try and do this type of event. It takes very specialized training to deal with an active shooter situation. Armed security is needed more than ever.
