Bands don't get nearly the exposure that idol groups do, (in fact, I think I heard someone say that the company purposely marketed them more like an "underground" band, as the company was worried about how "idol bands" are looked down upon, but I can't speak to the veracity of that) and they're from a smaller company on top of that. Our fandom isn't the biggest, but it's growing every comeback!
I think I saw that someone in the comments discussed a little bit about their history as MAS 0094, but didn't mention that as MAS, they were entirely self-formed, which is relatively rare in the industry. Cya, Harin, and Kanghyun all attended the same music school, and decided they wanted to become a band together, so Cya talked to his neighbor, Dongmyeong, to be a singer, and then they were a session band for a singing competition which Yonghoon had won so they recruited him and became MAS 0094. Xion (Dongmyeong's twin brother from ONEUS) wasn't even a trainee at that time and acted as their unofficial manager and went everywhere with them. (Dongmyeong credits himself with the fact that Xion decided to go into music, lol)
I'm so happy someone reacted to Onewe and especially their I'm Live performances. To answer a few of your questions,
1. I'm Live is one of the few tv broadcast programmes that allow artists to perform full band live in Korea. It's produced by the english language channel Arirang, hence the subtitles. The show generally invites bands or indie artists, each guest gets a whole 30-min episode to showcase their own music.
2. About Onewe. Unlike most mainstream kpop bands, they're self-formed among friends in 2015. They made their rather-lowkey mainstream debut as "MAS 0094" in 2016, but was later signed with RBW (their current label). After a few survival shows and re-entering training period, they officially re-debuted as Onewe in 2019.
3. About the "people might not know us" part, Onewe is doing okay as a currently mainstream-active band, but they're still relatively new and not an household name yet. Plus band music is still very much a minority in k-pop.
About live experiences, as a fan I'd say their stage presence are pretty impressive and they've done a lot of gigs over the years. I believe the main reason they're thankful for the opportunity to perform live is because bands couldn't perform their instruments live on regular Korean music shows. This's a well-known fact in the kpop community. If you look up a k-band performing on music shows like Music Bank or Inkigayo, generally their instruments aren't even plugged in, cuz they could only hand-sync on live music shows. So it's a rare opportunity bands get to perform full live on TV.

And I think you're pronouncing correctly, Cya is indeed "key-ya" instead of "sea-ya" 😏
Them introducing themselves again was partly because they were being humble, but also bc this is the first time they were invited to I'm Live (the name of the show where musicians can have their mini-concert). Even if onewe fans would already know them, performing in a tv show would grant them new audiences that would be unfamiliar to them (and that helps for the video's viewers too >

I think when they mentioned not getting to perform live much it was in reference to korean music shows not allowing bands to perform live because of the time it takes to set up instruments on stage but they have been performing as a band since 2015

ONEWE has a former name "M.A.S 0094" (MAS is a acronym for "make a sound" and 0094 is bc the eldest and youngest member were born in 1994 and 2000). They first debuted in 2015. When they became RBW artists, the band change it's name to MAS. With the name ONEWE, they had their second debut in 2019.
Oh! And it was Kang Hyun who recommend Yong Hoon see that movie. It made him cry a lot and ended up writing the song. 🤣🤣🤣
Just to go off of what you mentioned, the first two songs you listened to where also composed by guitarist Kanghyun and yes he loves space and all these songs are part of his space series songs.
I've always loved space themes which is probably one of the reasons ONEWE appeals to me
thank you so much for this long reaction! it was the perfect excuse to rewatch this mini-concert and to be proud of onewe through all the good things you said about them! I hope you'll listen to other ONEWE songs in your own time, their discography isn't actually too big (yet) but every song is truly amazing and reflects a side of one of the members as well as the whole group! almost every song has a behind story about how it was written/composed, so it's truly interesting (they also did videos for the last two albums in which they show us all the creative process behind the various songs!) to discover everything!

The reason they said that the songs performed in the medley were "not as well known" is coz they are album tracks and not promoted (except Q, which was a promoted single). Their fandom of course loves those songs, but casual listeners would usually only check out the promoted tracks. Love Me and Eraser are actually two of my favorite tracks by onewe
