I personally don't like One Piece just because the beginning is boring and the pacing is horrible, and my favorite Anime is NARUTO. But unlike Naruto, One Piece almost immediately loses me after like episode 2. I only kept watching because so many people said it was good, and it got better once Zoro appeared, but after around 5 episodes, I lost interest again, but I kept going to see if I would be invested again but ended up quitting at episode 20-25. So I can agree with his statement, but not his reasoning.
