How good is the AI tactically speaking? I mean, this just looks like a bunch of ship attacking each other, but it would be nice to know how much method is behind the madness.
I honestly can't say how tactical the ships' AI is. It seems that sometimes he makes some decisions like focusing on an enemy with all the firepower to take him out of the fight or some ships withdraw from the combat area to regenerate their shields. But overall it is not that tactical.

How do you spawn units without a space station ?
I create custom maps for these videos. When I create the map, I put the ships I want to use, and when I enter the game and play the map, the ships are already spawned.
