What book do YOU want to see made into a movie or show? Let us know below!
Either Leah on the Offbeat, Carry on Simon or Fangirl!
The Kingdom Keepers series I know it's a series but someone needs to do it
The Land of Stories
Looking for Alaska.. By John green
Books I'd like to see on the big screen or TV screen:
"Polar the Titanic Bear" (such a sad true story)
"Blacksad" (awesome comic book series)
"Tracks" by David Galef (could be a hilarious family comedy)
"A Book Dragon" by Donn Kushner
"Up Country" by Alden R. Carter
"Snow Treasure" by Marie McSwigan
Honestly, I rather have these books to be made into a television series just to give more time to develop the character and it's world instead of adapting into a movie. Just finished His Dark Materials and I can tell that it's better for the book to be adapt into TV series instead of turning it into a movie
Great point!
What about Lord Of The Rings
Circe, Circe, and Circe. It’s such an incredible book and with the right actor and script it could be something really special .
Unpopular opinion here, I really didn't like Circe. Sadly.
While "Eleanor and Park" Apparently has a movie in the works, I'd love to see them adapt "Fangirl", since it really spoke to my teen self! 😍💕
OMG 1000 TIMES YES!!!
💛💛💛💛💛
All I have to say is The Lunar Chronicles
and Legend Series by Marie Lu!
Chris Colfer announced years ago that he was going to make the first Land of Stories book into a movie but it never happened
Some books I want to see is Life As We Knew It by Susan Pfeiffer and the rest of the series, The Lunar Chronicles, and The Selection series
I WAS SO EXSIDED I THOUGH YOU WHERE SAYING RED QUEEN QAS A SHOW
Me too, but maybe it's only a matter of time! 😉
It’s coming to Peacock!
I just groaned thinking, “Not another Phillipa Gregory adaptation…!” But then I saw it was a different series altogether, and I’m intrigued.
How did Lunar Chronicals not make the list??
There's a similar list from a while back that I think mentions this one. Great book series!
Red Queen deserves a show ❤️
It’s coming to Peacock!
There is this really good book series Falling Kingdoms that would be so good as netflix tv series, its like game of thrones but for teens, there is so much potenial
One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus would make a good YA show!
Fun Fact: It's actually been optioned by Peacock, and is currently being filmed!
Eh, I don’t think so. I mean I only read some of the books, but somehow they tend to cut of some of the details and…it kinda ruin it.
Not on this list: _Daughters of the Moon_
LOVED reading this series as a kid!
Coldest winter ever!!! How has this not been done???
A Court of Thorns and Roses series - especially as the second book goes in a completely different direction than expected from the first, and it works!!
It’s coming to Hulu with one of the show runners from Outlander!
Not so popular, but, I would love to see The Key Trilogy from Nora Roberts in live action: series or movies...
Awesome video! 😁 Yes! Selection and Red Queen! 🤓
Books that NEED adaptations;
The Start of Me and You Duology - Emery Lord
The Kiss Quotient - Helen Hoang
More Sandhya Menon adaptations
When We Collided - Emery Lord
Disney Twisted Tales series
Bergman Brothers series - Chloe Liese
Stalking Jack The Ripper series - Kerri Maniscalco
Fallen series - Lauren Kate
Seraphina - Rachel Hartman

I want a book called Took by Mary Downing Hahn made into a movie/TV show
THE BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD series!!!!
Oh, I agree 100%!!. It's my favourite book series.
i really wanna see "carry on" adapted. the third and final book is coming out this year and i would love to see the book series made into a tv show! or maybe movies. but personally i think a series would be better
That's Easy I Want a Animated TV series based on Beasts of Burden we were promised a movie but it never came through would watch that for days
When I was a teenager, I read "The Last Vampire," book series by Christopher Pike. (The series is now known as "Thirst.") For years, I've thought that there should be movie adaptations of the books. I would love to see a live-screen version of Alisa Perne (aka Sita).
Agree!
I love the series I read the books years ago 😊🙂☺️😍🥰
Was one of the first purchases I made at borders when I was 12/13 along with go ask Alice and all those books. I probably bought a few fear street books too. Hoping tge Netflix movies are good!
For many, many years I've wanted This Lulaby by Sarah Dessen turned into a movie.
I am dying to see Adam Brody play the main guy character Dexter. He is the perfect representation of the description of him.
We need better teen/young adult movies. Let's go back to the 2000s when teen movies were the best.
Love the Red Queen series but I’m kind of spectacle on how it’s gonna turn out since it’s being directed by Elizabeth Banks so it could be a hit or miss.
Heard of only the Earthsea saga by Ursula.
About time Dragonriders of Pern was adapted though.
The Land of Stories, Star Darlings, The School for Good and Evil, and the rest of the The Giver series
The Arc of a Scythe series. I found it fascinating.
Warcross by Marie Lu! Gives off major Readly player one vibes plus it’s mostly set in Tokyo!
Apparently, there's a tv adaptation in the works! It's in early development so it'll be a long time before we see it! The scenery in that book was so beautiful. I love seeing neon lighting and stuff.
PERCY JACKSON SERIES IN 5 SEASONS
Same for
HEROES OF OLYMPUS
The Secret History by Donna Tartt would make an excellent mini-series in my opinion.
They could do movie versions of the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series, but they'd have trouble making it PG or R rated.
I honestly hadn't heard of the Red Queen series until yesterday when I bought the book out of curiosity. I can't wait to start reading!
Red Queen was annoying as the series progressed. I can think of quite a lot of other ya fantasy books that would be better. 😁
An Ember in the Ashes on the other hand... 💖
I must say I read quite a few of the books mentioned and would pick differently.
I really hope that we Melissa Meyer The lunar Chronicles series love love those books so much
I've only read "Throne of Glass". While I hear that the books get better (not hard), I don't know who picked up book number two after the mess that book number one was.
The Selection Series by Kiera Cass 💖
I love the Red Queen series!
LINDSAY MORGAN AS MARE BARROW!!!
Red white and royal blue would make a really good tv series and also All your perfect by Colleen Hoover would make such a good movie. Guys go read it.
i also think the Legend trilogy and Dragon Slippers series should be adapted too
YAS to Legend!
A Court of Thorn and Roses series
I would really like to see anotjer version of Deborah Harkness' trilogy on witches. Cannot remember the titles but certainly did not like the versiin already completed

The off campus series by Elle Kennedy !! It would be a great tv show !! + the characters are college age students with the hockey 🏒 element
all saints high series by lj shen is similar to off-campus! i want both to be turned as series or movies
David and Leigh Eddings Series The Belgariad, The Malloreon, The Elenium and The Tamuli. Always loved Belgarion and Sparhawk and thought it would be fun to see them in a live action series.
The Valdemar Series by Mercedes Lackey
I would really love to see the Poison Study book series by Maria v Snyder adapted into tv series.
Definitely “Turtles all the way down by John Green”
paperboy by Vince Vawter. it's one of my favorite books.
i thought i'm going to see a wide variety here but i think you should've cleared that this is fantasy books list. there are books from colleen hoover, penelope douglas, and other authors that people wanted to see as movies or tv series.. i hope for more book list in the future!
I keep hoping for a tv adaptation of The Jason Crane series by Richard Gleaves with the first book being Rise Headless and Ride. If you like spooky teen stuff, definitely check it out. It's audiobooks also have an incredible narrator
I would like to see the Jane Hawk series by Dean Koontz, or Strangers by Dean Koontz. I thought that Strangers might be in the works with Netflix, but it looks like it went by the wayside.
Hi ! I want to share with you about one book: "KAYAN KOLLYN- The spiral of the Ellmott & messenger of the secret." a great fiction of adventure, mystery, ART, an ancient CRAFFARTT, and science. once you read it, you definitely love it, because it speaks about all dimensions of life, without the barrier of the beliefs and social divisions.
Love your content!
KAYAN KOLLYN will be next great adventure and esoteric movie worldwide ❤❤
I desperately want Jordan Peele to get his hands on When No One is Watching (and with Kiki Layne as the MC). I also think Maureen Johnson's Stevie Bell series would be a good television show, as would Meg Cabot's Heather Wells' series. Oh, and any of Riley Sager's books.
I would love to see Jason Reynolds' Ghost and Christopher Paul Curtis' Bud Not Buddy made into movies, those are my favorite books
Wicked Lovely , Red Queen
May be made into series or movies and show in NETFLIX.
Same for EMBER OF ASHES
AND CROWN OF GLASS
EARTHSEA and THE HEIR
FOR HOTSTAR
MOVIES FOR THIS ONE
Red Queen-Yes, fans need movie!
Honestly anything by Brandon Sanderson deserves an adaptation
I agree...
But, we all know that adaptation are never up to expectation so, unless Sanderson is all the way in the process, they would ruined his work.
The old book the irregulars should be a HBO series change my mind
My #1 choice is Utopia 58 by Daniel Arenson. I read it two years ago, and it turned out to be one of the best books that I've ever read!!!! Daniel Arenson is my favorite author. If you haven't read Utopia 58, I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!!!! It has the words "movie adaptation" written all over it!!!
Here's the synopsis:
Imagine a perfect society. A world with no racism, sexism, or ageism. A utopia.
In Utopia 58, everyone is equal. Everyone must be equal.
Too beautiful? A mask will hide that pretty face. Too tall? We'll saw your legs down to size. Too male or female? The surgeon's knife will fix that. Too smart? A buzzer in your skull will drown out all that pesky thinking. You will be equal. Like it or not.
Utopia 58, built atop the ruins of North America, created perfect harmony. A society with no race, gender, or age. Pure equality.
KB209 was born into this utopia. He has no true name. No past. No future. He is one among millions. The same.
One day, at a propaganda rally, KB209 glimpses an act of startling defiance. A citizen with painted toenails. A woman in a genderless society. Color in a black and white world.
When KB209 confronts her, he is drawn into an underground rebellion. A movement that dares to dream. That dares to say: "We are unique. We are individuals. We will be free!"
Cool top 10
"The girls" sounds like the movie "Martha Marcy Mae Marlene"
I agree, maybe it was partially inspired by that movie, in addition to real life events!
Ethic/Butterfly series by Ashley Antoinette
I really these books get adapted, they sound really interesting
I would have preferred the other Sarah J. Maas throne series to be turned into a Netflix TV series.
I am praying that the red queen series would push through as I absolutely love them.
I Want The Red Queen to be make into either a movie, or a show! I had read the whole book series, and I loved it. It would be great if Netflix got a chance to make it. The books was so far off from the Game of Thrones, since the book series ended with Cal being a king, and an rightful ruler of the whole series. Since he was a son of The original monarchs of the books, and his step mother had murdered his mother while back, by spreading slenderous roumers about her. The murder of the father was by her, and her son(cal's half brother), and created chaos to establish their reign.
I would love to see the "In Death" series by JD Robb on screen. It is my favorite series to read and I have most of the series.
Minds eye(nick hall series), iron mike, Louis armour books
All top three books, namely red queen, throne of glass and selection, belong to my favourite book series and I would love to see them as tv series.
The courageous princess (trilogy)has lots of girl power, dragons, light romance and battles
All Grady Hendrix books and Carrie Vaughn kitty series
Odd Thomas series from Dean Koontz. They tried in 2013, but I think it can be done better.
The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden!
Nice list. Hmm. Heroine, by Mindy McGinnis.
I think Anno Dracula by Kim Newman should be a miniseries.
I would love to see the nightshade series to become a tv series or a movie series
I would love to see this adaptation by casey mcquiston as a HBOmax series
No Rachel Caine novels? That's disappointing.
I agree with #1
I want to see a proper adaptation of the sword of truth series by Terry Goodkind
I need a movie version of Educated
Cinder
Naomi Novic’s Temeraire series. Movie rights were done, but nothing came from it and was reverted. I rather see it as a tv series.
I really want One For Sorrow to get a movie adaption
I’m gonna go with a lesser known trilogy and say The Looking-glass Wars. I’m a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland and I can honesty say this is the best adaptation of the classic in my opinion. 🎩♥️♠️♦️♣️👑
An amber in the ashes is my all time favrt
Definitely, The Girls by Emma Cline. I mean it would rule award season. Also the Private series by Kate Brian would definitely rule the CW, it's exquisitely cringey and such a guilty pleasure.
Clueless is based on a book the movie July 19. 1995 acila silver stone and Paul Rudd really great performance players roles.
Throne of Glass was the worst series I ever read. I don’t recommend it to anyone interested in the YA fantasy genre.
If red queen gets made into a movie or tv series it better be done right
I don't even care if one of my favorite book, Of snow and Rose by T.M. Franklin, gets developed I just want more people in my life to read it!
Shadow Children Series Margaret Haddix
Another one I would love to see is Carry on and Wayward son by rainbow Rowell. In a simple summary it’s LGBTQ Harry Potter
The house of nights series by both cast women
I'm still waiting for house of night to come out on tv
stephen king - Apt Pupil - summer of corruption
