9 years before I was introduced to the Rads..... this Fishead Music so So Alive So Much in Here ! its no wonder I immediately jumped on tour, and landed in on the Hawaiian Tour in 1999, same year as my first Rads show at Shank Hall , Milwaukee... Thank You Wes Carlson for always playing the Rads at works nd bringing me to my first rads gig.
Shawn, my "introduction" happened exactly 40 years ago in San Francisco with a couple of friends who had a few live tapes. The music sounded instantly so familiar even if totally new, it seemed to be what I had always wanted to hear, plus it was tinted with humor (Nail your heart to mine, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Let the Red Wine Flow, ...). I had to wait a few years before the live experience but I had a blast when it happened.
My first show was at the Shank in 1998! Shortly afterward I moved to Minneapolis and so got to see them often, probably not often enough! Especially now that it has been 11 years since I last saw them, in hindsight I took all the shows they played up here for granted. Always a fishhead in my heart. Thank you Richard for sharing this video!

Only caught them once in 1989 but it was one of the hottest shows I ever saw. The version of Willin' they played lives in my head as one of the greatest performances of all time.
Glad for you, once is better than none ! I guess the room where you saw them was like a sauna and you came out of the show sweating ... ah, ah, ah !
I had the privilege of seeing them a couple of hundred times starting in ‘84. From Minneapolis to Dallas & New Orleans and from Boston to San Francisco and dozens of places in between. Many great shows. One of the strangest was a June 3rd show about 12 years ago in an old abandoned church by Mackeys farm. Dave came out wear a priest’s vestments and fittingly opened with Ode to Billy Joe. We camped at the church and much LSD was consumed by many. Wonderful memories.
