- This is my guide to beating EVERY encounter in Pantheon on Week 1, and extra tips on how to improve your damage, and therefore have an easier time at getting platinum on each encounter. Like if you would like an updated version each week!

I reccomend going doomed petitioner for linear fusions for void, you can load most of the reserves into the magazine with envious assassin, and precision instrument (which you can fully stack [+6] in 2 shots as it is an aggressive burst linear fusion) gives you +25% on crits
At 21:27 there's blurred text that never resolves.
During explicator (Planets) you don't have to stand on the plate for dps, so placing a well in the middle of the dps area and grabbing the buff then running back to the middle means 1 well for all 3 plates and quicker running between plates.
Fun fact; during Atraks you can avoid the Tormentor entirely. Atraks is on a timer and will start DPS eventually, meaning you don't have to kill all 6 servitors. Just do it as the inverse of normal Atraks; Kill all Servitors upstairs and leave one alive downstairs. Note, this is only if you're planning to try to bum rush Atraks to final stand on first DPS phase as the scanner will have to make a mad dash downstairs to do the next DPS phase

My group has always done “left,middle,right” from the perspective of facing the back of the room where the boss is. But I’m definitely gna try this lmao it sounds way more fun

I thought we were alone. It's a very nice system, but the number system has been an excellent system to learn and is fairly fool proof when you understand it.
Pantheon was the best destiny experience I have had in a long time. As a solo player, I barely did any raids. It was always pretty intense and sometimes toxic. Today though I joined an LFG fireteam labelled "chill / my first pantheon, be patient". Everyone was super helpful, no toxicity whatsoever, only Good vibes. It did take us a long time as we had to learn mechanics etc. Overall, I just wanted to express this experience I had because I think there are heaps of players who are scared off by the idea of joining a fireteam of random people.... which I understand. But dont be discouraged by previous experiences. Just be super selective with what fireteams you join or create your own. There are plenty of other destiny players in the same situation.

Couple of things about Planets: First you don't need to stand on the plate to damage him, you just have to grab the buff from the plate. Which means you can drop a well in the middle of the plates, grab the buff from a plate and then stand in the well for most of DPS. Also, during final stand, you don't have to rotate plates. All 3 plates are continuously active, so just run to a plate to refresh your buff.

For Atraks DO NOT use pyrogale because flaming cyclones formed after your super can hit the wrong Atraks on final stand and wipe you all making you start from the top... also tormentors in encounters are NOT boss types so they can be suspended, blinded, etc have fun guys and good luck
If ur a titan and ur not using thundercrash on atraks, ur doing it wrong
Yeah and Pyrogale doesn't even do that much damage to Atraks
The true Caretaker totem strat is to just spray all 9 symbols with an SMG or trace because hitting the wrong one doesn't matter, only hitting the correct ones in time does. No one needs to communicate or memorize their symbols which is especially helpful if you're having trouble staying alive. This technique removes SO MUCH mental load from the two people with the hardest job of the encounter, highly recommend.
This is also true of the first VoD encounter which obviously isn't applicable here but PSA.
no it does not work at all, you'll almost never get the correct combo just spraying and youll wipe or the stunners screw up and you wipe anyways, caretakers mechanics are just a buggy garbage mess anyways, whoever that it was well designed is an idiot
It's not that easy to spray all 9 fast enough. I usually rember the symbol, watch where they are and shot them in rapid sequence. I do not start shooting until I know where the right symbols are and that helps me avoid rejection.
@@francesconegrini8319 If you can't hit all nine just have the other runner help you out. Two people can spray the totem very quickly. That's still MUCH easier to communicate than memorizing symbols.
If this works, it’s a game changer. I’ve never played VoD, and tried being a runner. Dude, people saying to me “it’s not that hard,” is incredibly frustrating. It was my first time doing it and they all wanted me to memorize 27 elaborate symbols that can look totally different in the dark if you don’t know them like the back of your hand.
If I don’t have to remember them and can just use one of my new Recluse to spray all the symbols, it will be a huge help.
I remember just spraying for trio, but couldn't remember exactly why, now it makes sense if you and a teammate spray everything its easy everytime

This was shown but not mentioned, so just in case it helps: there are additional ads to watch out for. At Golggie, minotaurs will try to kill the gaze-takers, something which isn't in the regular raids. At Caretaker, ads will spawn at the base where Caretakers spawn and need to be killed quickly. They will respawn.
Those 2 taken minotaurs caused like 90% of the wipes, since in KF we never had to worry about ads that spawn solely to seek out the gaze takers.

Best explanations to date lol well done. Side note: why doesn’t bungie create a how to guide in game to make raids less intimidating to new players. This could be time gated so it doesn’t ruin the experience of day 1 raid experience. But for content that has been out for years, why not just make something in game to get everyone in the same page. Please Bungie. We need more raiders. This is by far your best content.
I feel like Bungie ideally wants everyone to find out the mechanics themselves. the point of raids is the PUZZLES, Ive always done raids blind no matter how old they are.

My biggest tip: communicate. If you don’t know what’s happening say something. If something weird happens say something. Just turning your mic on can make a big difference

@@bruceblack9975so many assholes and toxic people in raids and trials, it’s another reason why I hesitate to join anyone
another addition: you can ignore the tormentor at the third encounter, if you have someone who either runs disorienting grenades or keeps him suspended with strand. the tormentor will despawn, as soon as you enter the dmg phase. so you can focus on killing other adds while the tormentor is locked down (pref by someone clearing adds anyway). helped me a couple of times when running with a random group.
I feel that the number or letter call out for plants help with minimal confusion. With the plate runners talking over each other it’s nice to only be listen for 1-3 or 4-6. At least for me, with being easily over whelmed by this kind of stuff that’s the best for me.
Plus, dyslexia 😂 I often confuse left with right and so on 🫣

Thanks for the callout on teammates not strafing during damage phases. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve died lately due to twinkly toes dancing around in front of me while I’m firing my GL.

For Golgeroth, one of the best weapons I personally use as a gaze holder is Heir Apperant. That arc bubble will ABSOLUTELY tank the purple balls he shoots at you and will only tickle you slightly.

Sure that someone else already mentioned this, but any ability based void debuffs (e.g. tether, suppression/weakening nades/smoke melee) can bug out golgy so he doesn't move toward the fireteam and you can't shoot his crit.
This was actually a nice refresher video for those encounters,, never really knew how Planets fully worked until now.
Folks may know this, but don't forget to pick up your new exotic after defeating the final boss BEFORE leaving the Pantheon! Appreciate the guide overview, I needed a refresher!

Good refreshers. Seems atraks is just 3 top/ 3 bottom for a smoother ride. Most times want to do the crispy 1 phase. Good video!

But people will SWEAR number callouts are better for planets. Glad to see someone advocating for simple directional callouts. It's concise and leaves little room for confusion or misinterpretation.
Number callouts will always be better unless you have a hole in your frontal lobe
I have seen SO much confusion happen on what constitutes "left", "right", or "middle". Just taking five seconds before rallying to label the points 1-6 on both sides has worked so much better for me in my runs.
@@Thrillerboy it's as simple as preafacing the explanation by establishing that the wall in the far back of the arena is "forward". Numbers leave more room for error and confusion
@@gohst6750 they both require the same prep. It’s literally just different words for exactly the same thing. If you establish your direction bias (i.e. the entrance is the front), all other forms of communicating it flow from there, whether you go “1, 2, 3” from front to back, or “left, right, back”, or whatever other permutation feels correct for the particular group.

See the issue is these people watch a guide, or come back after a hiatus, then think they can do one of the hardest raid challenges we've gotten in a long time. People need to run an actual full raid once or twice, recently, before they're ready here, especially once the difficulty spikes up
yeah no most players using lfg have no clue what theyre doing, including me on some encounters because I didn't touch those raids, and then some are just finnicky AF with its mechanics ahem caretaker is garbage and I hate it, the obelisk and glyphs are a complete buggy mess that don't work half the time
I havent done a raid in a long time. The last one I enjoyed was DSC and VoG that I did 50 runs each of it (weak I know). Vow was OK but I don't like memory games. After that I was kind of forcing myself to do RoN and KF - Just for getting the exotics. Pantheon is a godsend for those with time constraints. Thank you

Never did a raid in destiny 2 as a solo player but i have now got platinum on every boss in pantheon in only my first day of trying. Definitely the most fun I've had in destiny
For Caretaker, you actually have to bait him into doing the ground pound so that he can be stunned. At least, that's how it was for us
You don't. You can shoot his face and then your partner his backpack before he ground pounds. Letting him ground pound is really risky because he can make you fall off the walkways. Coordinate better and use hard hitting weapons to get the weak spots for a quick stun.

Sorry but this is a terrible idea and your team will not be happy to have you. This activity is only for the 1% who raid regularly
Some good samaritans should make and manage a discord server whose sole purpose is for casual players to raid together and learn the mechanics and where failure is part of the process of learning, watching guides is good and all but one can only really get it when they have to do it themselves a couple of times
I'm a big fan of doing diagonal swaps during planets. Especially as the power level gets higher, running straight across the middle area is pretty dangerous for the people on the upper plates. But going diagonal means you can easily go around the middle area without having too long of a walk.
Also another tip if you end up having more warlocks than you need, have one run Dawn chorus, Dawn blade, and he can kill the tormentor all by himself. Just so there’s no issues we shoot arm shields off before he pops a super.
my personal preference for planet callouts is close/middle/far depending on distance from the middle of the room. to me it makes sense since youre running across the room anyway, so your partner just tells you whether to go to the closest planet, the middle one, or the furthest.
please be honest with your team and don't be afraid to ask questions. I promise you it will make it less stressful.

I find the Pantheon to be a real pain. I've only managed to beat Golgoroth. The little additions to the Caretaker really put a wrench in our plans. The adds that spawn at the Caretaker's spawn area did a real good job of taking out the stun team. It was real annoying dancing with the bloke to shoot his face and then back, making sure that you don't fall off, take out the worms, and make sure you aren't booped by taken phalanx while doing that. It is real easy to be sent down into the abyss.

On planets,#1 dps starts when you damage so gather up and communicate before shooting and you'll max your timer. #2 you only need to get the plate buff so you can leave and do up close dps. You will have to get the next buff however.
I get your point about Planets callouts, but counterpoint: the fast food chain callouts my team has been using to clear the encounter in the original raid
Something I think worth noting; in most of the footage I saw here he’s using Witherhoard. Only one witherhoard shot (direct hit) applied to an enemy will do damage. If two players shoot the same target the second shot to hit will override the first. Making it less advantageous to use more than one in a fire team.
For Caretaker, Umbral Hastening still works in Pantheon mode, so use that for extra move speed on the runners

During planets. The tormentor that spawns if ignored will respawn at start of each damage phase. Still recommend killing but can just leave it and focus on other ads.

2:33 Loaders also work on Leviathan's Breath if you intend to use it.
Numbers can be good, 1 through 6 because it removes confusion on callouts completely. If you hear someone say 1 through 3 and it wasn't you, you know it's on the bottom. If you hear 4 through 6, it only corresponds to the top set of planets.
Love the outro music
Most lfg teams use numbers for the planets 2,5 on the wall. It saves a lot of extra explaining instead of having to say bottom left you just say 1 because that call out only pertains to you.
Fun tip: have nighthawk hunters run gaze. One shot with no buffs can get 2.6mil on his back, with tractor and radiant i was able to get nearly 3.6mil in one shot.
I haven't done it yet, but when you swap planets you can shoot the crux of darkness to end the planetary insight buff early if time is tight for it

Don't do it, if it's the first time and all 4 are swapping then it'll end automatically, if one of the pairs screwed up and one side doesn't need to swap, they can shoot once they both dunked, shooting it when people still need to dunk is a waste of a phase and probably getting everyone killed@@kerch6071

Apparently you can still one phase Atraks this week. Bottom team leaves one servitor alive (prevents tormentor from spawning according to Mactics), everyone rushes up top, wait for Atraks to trigger Extinction countdown, fire parasite, super, rinse and repeat.
My team had 4 people stay down so they got op really easily. Everybody then went up, we did most of the bosses health, scanner went down and hit the boss, went back.up, one last slap and then final stand.
For last encounter generally we leave the middle one in the spaceship dead since it’s a hassle going down there sometimes, and based on the spawn if scanner spawns left side we kill him n his servitor n vise versa
You can double-boom Golgoroth pretty easily by calling out "unstable, going up" and jumping up to his head when you explode. Pretty easy to keep a guardian on the ground outside of radius, and it only takes one extra callout.
Had a half-decent team and wow we burned right through this. Easy! Wonder how the later weeks will go…

Numbers is so the top and bottom plates can sift through com noise top of the room only needs to listen out for 4-6 as bottom of the room 1-3
Left right middle on zoaurc gets super confusing when 4 players are trying to use the same call, and you have to determine by voice if the call you heard was the plate opposite you. This is why specific calls are easier than general calls. Can't tell you the number of times I've wiped because someone "heard left" when it was not the plate they needed to swap.
I really wanna give this a go, but I have only ever done King's Fall (way back in the day) and RoN (once) and I am afraid to let an LFG team down.

Hey @FalloutPlays do you mind if i ask what roll you are running on the Zally? I've only just recently got it, I think I need to put Flared Mag on it, as even with a reload mod, it feels a tad slow and I'm trying to get something to be less clutched on my Sunshot. If you get time to let me know, always appreciated.
Been on a long break while waiting for final shape, but having onslaught weapons to go for and now an incentive to raid again despite owning every raid item feels fantastic
I was deliberately not using surge and resistance mods to make the later difficulties not as much on an increase.
Good vid, i did learn some good strats. But I do disagree on the planets room. I always use l2 or r6 cause it's very straight forward and it doesn't matter who is saying it. If you say what fallout says like middle, middle what? Middle left? Middle right? Middle bottom? Plus some ppl sound the same so if someone sounds the same as another and they say middle then you're confused. That to me is true insanity.

where did you find that Day 1 Atraks screaming clip?
I am already sick of trying to finish a single Pantheon. I am about 9-10 hrs in and about half of that is from people from lfg joining then leaving as soon as they die or right after one try then you have to try for another then 5 people get invited but never join and others leave cause they are tired of waiting. I have found nothing easy at all about these cause nobody has patients nor wants to do anything with people that have yet to complete a Pantheon. Kind of hard to complete one when people won't try more than once with a team they have never done anything with. Also doesn't help that checkpoints don't work.

planets doesn't make sense no matter what you tell me, i hate the mechanic in general but caretaker is honestly worse
@@yulfine1688 you just need some practice both encounters are actually incredibly easy once you’ve done a few runs
@dfillio8993 we've done many runs and finally got planets. The tornado is what ruined it usually, we nailed the first section and dps speeding through, then the second for some reason someone would forget to grab either light or dark and dunk it then someone dies or two dies and then we miss the window or dunk incorrectly because we forgot what was what.
Also had a few Bugs we reported to bungie where one of the plates for the dps phase just randomly triggered before the dude was even down but he was immune not sure what happened there a couple times.
I think leviathan's is my go-to for at least caretaker and zo'aurc while we have void surge.
Thanks for the guide! one PROBLEM I see on this new raid type is LFG. Like me as a solo player with more than 50 raid completions (each) can't even get pass through the LFG stage because besides the raid completion requirement most LFG players want good/ meta loadouts and high level guardian rank 🙃🙃🙃
pretty much, you have to run super meta loadouts otherwise you're either immediately kicked or ignored, and then if you do find a group that takes you well no one has any idea what to do so you can't do anything anyways
@@yulfine1688 yeah but for me you don't need super meta loadouts as long as you can give a big chunk of dmg for boss dps and KWTD. LFG today isn't the same as the old days of D2

So zourac is basically just a swaping game to make the triangles match. I always joined raids right at Nez to fast track my way to getting my Super Shotgun

My clan has some older gamers amongst us and we seem to be having problems clearing ads on the second level of the Caretaker. Even with optimal loadouts we kinda struggling.
probably need to just have 2 ppl running and make sure the 2 guys stunning the boss are clearing ads inbetween
