- My goal is to create a fun and positive place on the Internet for people to come and feel uplifted. I document my life as an author, presenter, blogger and columnist, but most importantly my roles as wife to Tom and mum to Buzz and Buddy.
Each Friday at 9AM I upload a new video in a series called DEAR CARRIE, essentially video diaries to my sister in law who we never get to see. Tom adds his thoughts into the mix on Sundays with Carrie replying on Wednesdays.

Yes loved it! I would love more to even see more of the day. Honestly I'm in my 20s and wondering if I want to have kids at some point in my life and seeing a realistic depiction of what it's like to have kids is really appreciated and useful if anything to get as much info as possible. Your boys are the cutest and it looks like you had a lovely day 😊
I love seeing Buzz and Buddy's relationship grow as they get older! They definitely love each other so much - following yours and Tom's example, of course! They are developing such great and fun personalities!

I loved the format of the video! Seeing Buzz and Buddy interact with one another makes my heart sing! :) And makes me excited to be a Mumma one day! If it's ok, I'd love to see more snippets of the boys together. I especially enjoyed Buddy's make up skills, he uses a foundation brush similarly to myself...Just kinda squishes it all on :')

Did anyone else spot the cat stealth watching her from the sofa? I was paying attention to what she was saying but I just caught a pair of black ears poking over the top :-P not that I'm complaining but I find it kind of funny Leia and Aurora have gone from almost never appearing in videos to seeming like they demand to make at least one cameo a week lol

I loved this video, Gi! Watching you having fun with the boys reminded me of the countless times we`d do the same when my brother and I were little. My dad always managed to create amazing worlds and unforgettable scenarios for us kids to have fun! He never failed to amaze me and I still remember the joy and the laughs! Your boys will have some amazing memories for the rest of their lives! Sending you all my love!

Do you have the gro clock? I can’t function before 7 so (slowly and painfully!) but managed to get my little ones to stretch out til 7am (when the sun comes up!) I don’t know why but I just really struggle before then! x
So Sallyo that group clock never worked for my 4,, they're all up between 5-6 everyday without i have 4 under 8. I actually quite like being up early so it works for me

No wonder they're getting up at stupid o'clock if you still let them nap during the day. Especially Buzz - he's far too old for that, now. Cut the naps and they'll sleep longer in the morning, I promise you.
Piratas Pirata personally I believe there's never an age that's 'too old' for naps. It all depends on the child and it does the child more harm than good for them to go without sleep just because it's inconvenient for us adults. I know 10 year olds who come home from school at half 3 and need a half hour kip on the sofa, I also know 18 month olds who stop having naps because that's when they're ready. I don't feel it's particularly helpful to say 'they're having a nap in the afternoon, that's why they're up early'. There could be any number of factors as to why they get up early, most likely it's due to the time of year it is. It's lighter earlier therefore it's easier to wake up.
My daughter is going to be 3 next week. She still needs a nap. She doesn't take one every day, but she does most days. If she goes too many days in a row without one, she gets cranky and mean and annoying because she's tired. It doesn't make her go to bed earlier or sleep later. Missing the nap just makes her tired and cranky.
What aboulouste rubbish. 6 isn't stupid o clock. That's average. My 4 kids under 8 are up between 5-6 am everyday with out fail no matter what I've tried. No naps, grow clock etc. They're just early risers, so i sucked it up and got on with it. More to fit in the day, that's how it look at it.
