- A United States Army soldier was charged with his wife’s murder after her body was found in a storm drain following a dayslong search in Anchorage. Twenty-one-year-old Zarrius Hildabrand stands accused of killing his wife of seven months, 21-year-old Saria Hildabrand, before dumping her body on August 6 and reporting her missing the next day. The Law&Crime Network’s Angenette Levy discusses the disturbing case with Saria’s mother, Meredith Barney, who flew to Alaska and searched for her daughter alongside the alleged killer.

Agreed, it was hard not to tear up hearing her speak. From the bags under her eyes it looks like she's probably emotionally exhausted and potentially hasn't slept either so I think she's sort of in automatic response mode during the interview. Bit of shock setting in that it really happened I'm sure too. My uncle was very similar when his son fell off a boat and drowned and we had search parties out for days before finding him. In her case it's worse in the sense that she's probably trying to think of every red flag and everything she could have done different to get this guy away from her daughter. So senseless
