- It's 1955. Leo is beaten, bloodied and chained up, awaiting his next dog fight. Hal is tormented and angry - confused by Leo, who appears unafraid. The two men discuss their fate and their future.

The new addition Hal is amazing, the actor Damien Maloney does an outstanding job at portraying the vampire and old one Hal as a sympathetic and tortured soul; Who in his past life was referred to as the Devil's earthly form. His skill in luring the audience in to feeling the guilt and torment of his Character is fantastic! I love this show and all its new additions especially Hal and Damien Maloney is an amazing Actor.
Its nice to know that Leo got to live the life he wanted...
Fascinating to watch this post "Eve of War". I can't wait to see more of Hal. . .

Hal is such a classy vampire that's why i like him so much. he isn't like Mitchell he doesn't feel the guilt he just moves on. So far I like him more than Mitchell.
A show filmed in Vancouver (such as "Dead Like Me") has quite a different feel, a western Canadian feel, than one filmed in Los Angeles (such as 'Entourage').
"Ugly Betty" is a great example of a show being produced in many different countries. None are bad! They each retain a certain sweet faithfulness to the original without copying it. This is the hallmark of creativity.
Very excited about the new dynamic of the show, feels like a giant refresh button on the show. Sure we loved the old, but the story was told well and I'd rather take a great short story told well then a long dragged out story losing it's vision. :)
I thought I'd stop watching Being Human after Mitchell died. But Hall seems...O.O

I have tried and failed! It really is, they can't act and it is just bad in general! I'm so excited that series five has started!
Ok so I'm an American but I have to say, this version kicks the American version right in the ass! It's waaaaaayyyyy better!!!!!

For the LAST time, SYFY channel's 'Being Human' was not only given the blessing of Toby Whithouse, the original creator, it was made in CANADA, *NOT* the US!!

@Khaeysa No matter. I work in TV and film and we have a popular saying "The fish stinks from the head down." There are no 'commissioned' shows. The original producer always has a presence and the ability to give their 2 cents. But money talks. He sold the option on his popular show for money. TV/Film- is it really just a big business? Who knew?! Shocking! ; )
Canada (Quebec, actually) is quite different than America. It's quite different than Canada, in fact!

Young leo is awesome. It would be interesting to know how they all lived together before series 4. Except the ghost was really annoying.
@Tangobutton But he gave them the rights to do it, so of course he can't say anything bad about it. But regardless of whether he's just saying it or he really does, it doesn't mean we have to. And you're right, it was made in Canada.

The 'North American' version of 'Being Human' is not without its value, this comes from its heritage, from growing from the same high quality tree as the British 'Being Human.' It is not fair to compare series from country to country. I do not think Norman Lear ever did that with all of the shows he thankfully brought to American audiences. Many British shows do indeed fail across the pond but I do not think 'Being Human' is one of them.
@Tangobutton Wouldn't it be up to the spinoff's creative folk whether or not they'd accept the original producer's 2 cents? He could always be there for consulting but in the end, the spinoff people decide how they want their show to be like. I couldn't blame the original producer for selling the show to another country, it also helps give exposure to the original show as well!

@darkkit1994 lets face it, it matters a lot. It's not all. But a show WILL have more female audience if it has an attractive male in it and vise versa
You need to educate that friend. Like right now. I watched a few episodes of the US one out of morbid curiosity. It was just.........terrible. The fact that the shows share a name is a travesty.
@Tangobutton Personally I'm American and I gave every last episode of the American remake a chance, and I completely disagree. It's not because it's American either, it just isn't as good or likable in my opinion. And personally I think it is fair to compare. That said however, that's just my opinion, and I have no problem if you like it or others do. I just personally don't care for it.

if that where true then i would start watching Doctor Who again. can't stand Matt Smith as the doctor. he's a good actor and probably a nice guy, but sooooooooo annoying as that character. not well written.
