- Tonight on #TBWD the guys open and review the anCnoc 16yo, a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky released at 46% ABV. A tropical experience that develops throughout the reviewing leaving the bar dog excited and Colin and Malcolm learning that this Scotch Whisky may, in fact, be a Chameleon. Colin gets excited to take forever to answer a question from Malcolm, but they both learned a few things about anCnoc and we hope you do too! Cheers!

Another banger fellas I enjoyed a Dram of Redbreast Lustau while watching.
Glad you enjoyed it. Haven't had the Lustau yet...we'll keep our eyes open for it. Cheers!
I really enjoy the 18 and 24YO AnCnoc, I havent had any other ones! I have a case of 24YO stashed away. Shame about the audio being off again, but it was still a wonderful watch! Some of the best value oldschool malt out there!
I'll have the tech team look into the audio file(s), thanks for letting us know. The 16 is discontinued now....a case of 24yo!, good on you. It is good stuff, for sure. Cheers!
@@TBWD It was just in the beginning bit, I think the rest of the audio was excellent :)
I have not had any AnCnoc from just bourbon barrels, I do love me a good bourbon matured so definitely interested!
Outstanding as always gentlemen and yet another a new Scotch to find & try. I searched around me and I can get the 12, 18 or 24 year old. No 16 so I think I'll split the difference and try the 18. Thank you and keep up the great work. Woof.. Woof...
Thanks, the 16yo is discontinued, but if you can find one...buy it! Let us know what you think of the 18yo (we don't have one...yet). Cheers!
Thank you again for a wonderful experience. I have noticed that movies, and sometimes music, are referenced. There is a movie released 11 years ago, not about pineapples, that is totally revelant to Scotch Whisky, entitled “The Angel's Share.“ Have you seen it? It is the only movie in English I have seen that has subtitles. Sláinte!
Malcolm and I have a long history together and have experienced many of life milestones; either together or in a very similar way...movies are no exception.....Pineapple Express! The Angel's Share....is available on Amazon Prime, yes I have seen it....a good watch for sure. Cheers!
Another great episode gentleman. I am, again, amazed at the collection; this is a rare bottle - like many others you have done through the seasons. God bless Randy! I would love to see a tour of that wonderful Bitter-End Bar. Quick question, what do you do for opened bottle preservation?
Thanks! yep, this bottle is discontinued; and tasty. We are working on a new welcome to #TBWD at the Bitter End video, which includes a walk through the bar. Hmmm, open bottle preservation...the open bottle shelf has about 100 bottles on it and the 'help yourself shelf' has about 10-20 at any given time. The rotation of bottles means that bottles are usually empty within a calendar year. Here, the price is right...drinks are free, but we never turn down a bottle donation. Cheers!
@@TBWD I wish I was back in NH!!! That’s definitely a good strategy on dealing with opened bottles… Can’t go wrong… Drink them! Maybe even a sample trading system would work nicely. Keep up the great work guys. Have you thought of a Patreon Channel or some other way to support the show?
Cheers Colin & Malcolm, on the samples idea from last weeks comment, I spoke to Ben (Whisky Uncensored / NY area) & he was game, I don't know if he got in touch, but I'd be interested in the dynamics, if you guys collaborated on a sample swap episode, could be a win-win for both channels & personal experience. And maybe the start of a Beautiful Friendship😂 But I won't worry if you disagree.
No contact yet, but I'll look up his channel...I did buy a case of sample bottles....Cheers!
@@TBWD I'll chase him down, but he is always shipping something somewhere it seems.
I love Single Malt whiskies that are matured exclusively in ex-Bourbon casks. Something about that Vanilla, caramel and oak... Our beloved Quercus Alba, it's enchanting. Tim Robbins said it so eloquently in the Shawshank Redemption film... "Like something out of a Robert Frost poem." 🥃Cheers gentlemen.
The White Oak! there is something wonderful about a pure bourbon cask whisky...the nose knows. Cheers!
