She at least is opening a door for Jason and Jake to build their own relationship on Jake's terms but at least encouraging it because Jason wants it and Jake deserves to know his bio dad. What happens will happen but at least creating a bridge is a meaningful gesture.

She "fostered a positive relationship" between Jake and jason as soon as she could once they both came back. Remember, Jake was gone since the age of 4, and didn't return til 2015, (most of Jake's young childhood was gone by then) and the real jason was gone since 2012 before making his debut back into pc in 2017. When 2015 came around, and they all thought drew was jason, liz immediately fostered a positive relationship with Jake and "jason". Unfortunately it wasnt the real jason, so the rest of jake's young childhood was spent building that positive relationship witb Drew. When the real jason came back in 2017, Liz again, immediately tried to get Jake to accept Jason as his father, even though Jake was hesitant because he got used to Drew. But liz would always try to foster a postiive relationship with jake and jason whenever jason tried to come over to see Jake. Unfortunately thst left jason to spend only a small handful of jakes life building a relationship. Then Jason "left" again in 2021, leaving jake to grow up and is now into his teen years. Jake and Jason haven't been able to spend much time together since they both came back, but Liz has BEEN trying to always keep a positive relationship between Jake and Jason since they've both returned.
Liz wants a mob free Jason, so that is when she has been supportive of his relationship with Jake. She knew that BM’s Jake was Jason and mostly Carson free, then wanted it to be “their time” because BM’s Jason fit into her perfect life. It was just like when Robin put Jason in Brenda’s cottage for her perfect life. When SB’s Jason came back, she didn’t even believe that he was the real Jason and was angry with him for even speaking to Jake. When it comes down to it, Danny was raised to see Jason in a positive light, which is why he wants to spend time with Jason. Liz could have done the same thing with Jake. SHE. DID. NOT.

Drew called Liz and they both told Jake that jason is his father, and liz told Jake to try to get to know Jason and accept him. She gave Jake several reasons as to why Jake should try to get to know jason as his father. And once Jake warmed up to Jason, he FULLY accepted jason and had a positive relationship with jason for a few years after that, til jason left in 2021. Perfect example, When franco died, Jake defended jason to everyone, and stood by jason bc be loved him so much and had such a positive relationship with him. Jake was on Jason's side and continued to love jason and see him in a positive light, til he "died" in 2021. Even after that in 2022, jake told liz how much he missed Jason. As for Danny, Danny was still a little kid when Jason came back, and was very impressionable. It's why Sam kicked jason out to begin witb, because danny was getting mad that jason wasnt around as much anymore. So it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows like you make it seem with Danny either. Danny is still young, barely a teen, so he's at the age where he thinks every rebellious and every bad thing is "cool", (drinking, vaping, sneaking out, lying) Whereas Jake is like 17 and has more experience and isn't so easily enamored with things like Danny is. Jason came back a wanted fugitive, on the run from the law, who also showed danny how to use a gun. He saw jason wears a leather jacket and a pair of shades, and will eventually see he has tattoos. So of course he thinks that Jason is cool and wants to be around him.

I never said it was all sunshine and roses with Danny, but the boys clearly have two different energies toward Jason. All of the things that you listed just reinforce my position that Liz is trying to clean up the mess that she made of Jason and Jake’s relationship. If Liz had let Jason claim Jake, he would have never been targeted by Helena because he would not have been seen as a Spencer. If Liz had said yes to one of the first two times that Jason proposed, Jake would have lived with Jason and Liz. Carly’s kids didn’t live with Jason, kind of, but they believed that he didn’t shoot Dante. Michael and Danny helped to hide him. Mothers matter.
