  • Every year, farmers in Punjab and Haryana burn paddy stubble left after harvesting rice to save time and prepare the field for sowing wheat. While experts propose a relook at rice farming and its harvesting equipment, one of the solutions to prevent this outcome has yet to take off. india.mongabay.com/2021/12/fr...
Currently, Punjab has 11 biomass power plants that use paddy straw to produce electricity. Of the 20 million tonnes of paddy straw generated every year, less than 1 million tonnes make it to biomass plants. Issues with procurement of feed, its cost, transportation and storage slow the renewable biomass energy sector.
In 2021, the ‘fire count’ in Punjab and Haryana between Sept-Nov 2021 was the highest in 5 years. The smoke causes severe pollution in the states and even travels to Delhi and other regions.

We have developed a machine which can help to avoid burning of stubbles.
We are using all these stubbles in manufacture mats and sheets for daily use at homes.
But the challenge we are facing is prices, as so many stockist and dealers are in between
So if we can get these stubbles we can provide employees as well as avoid this pollution problem.

yes, we understand how this biofuel production is better than just burning it, but sambal, please consider the ecological imbalance that comes from too large scale of a biofuel operation, and what that energy is being used for. instead consider agroforestry / agroecology plan(n/t)ing instead. maybe i can help with this, in the future

yeah, no "concrete solution" (4:10) because the solution is to have healthy soil and ecology, hainah ji?
