I don't understand how this song wasn't a bigger hit. IMO it's the best pop song from 2021. I might love this version more, the rawer sound is awesome.
Maybe the message of the song is too real for the terminally online generation. These guys grew up right before social media would become something you're born into.
It's a sleeper. People know who they are, this is a great song and it will stick around in my head forever.

Mercurial World is one of a handful of albums where I only feel like I've listened to any single song by listening to the entire album in full.

Matt(hew)'s back and forth from keyboard to guitar reminds me of Jeremy Greenspan from the Junior Boys, and I think you guys could totally do stuff akin to the Junior Boys' extendo-live versions of stuff like "Under the Sun". Plus their live drums are very much like yours when you go live. The evolution of Mag Bay so to speak.

People always forget about the band. Super annoying cause the band holds it together not just the singer. The WHOLE band sounds super tight in this mix. Give credit where credit is due.
