    - she can be seen walking now and then

I would say that Loretta is a femme fatale, using her presence as if that is everything he needs, but he knows it is not true, so that is why he is the real one fooling her for a very long time, mockingly saying that how they are supposed to carry on because he is too tired of her attitude or sarcastically provoking her to use other methods to finally conquer him.
      He is winning the fight.

Here’s the lyrics if any of you are interested! :
Loretta, I see you walkin’ now and then,
Loretta, I see you coming near
Why's it oh so hard to turn back and finally whisper,
“How are we supposed to carry on?”
Well, I've got to for now
Forget her, and everything she said, she lied
I met her, morning noon and night
Well, I'd say I fooled ya
So, Loretta, you never won the fight
Why's it oh so hard to turn back and finally whisper,
“How are we supposed to carry on?”
Well, I've got to for now

You are a true genius, and I bet you must be a terrific lad to be around, positive and wise, curious and determined. Just want you to know you deserve in my opinion so much more appreciation, I hope sincerely from the bottom of my heart you are having fun and a good life.

    lyrics
Loretta, I see you walking now and then
Loretta, I see you coming near
Why's it oh so hard to turn back and finally whisper
How are we supposed to carry on?
Well I've got to for now
Forget her, and everything she said, she lied
I met her, morning noon and night
Well I'd say I fooled ya
So Loretta, you never won the fight
Why's it oh so hard to turn back and finally whisper
How are we supposed to carry on?
Well I've got to for now
    (Loretta, I've got to)
    (Loretta, I've got to)
    (Loretta, I've got to)
    (Loretta)

Didn't know a side effect of the vaccine would be to become absolutely, insanely obsessed with this song. In my head 24/7, I can't stop saying "Loretta" randomly at any moment of the day. Somebody help mE

You're not alone. When it dropped I whistled it all day at work for a week. A co-worker finally asked what song it was and I immediately belted out "🎵Lorettuuuuhh!🎵"
My workplace weirdo cred has risen.

I'm loving this wave of faux 70s music. This aesthetic is absolutely magic.

actually it's faux 80s music - its inspired by japanese city pop which is a decidedly 80s genre

@@acatindisguise Nah, this definitely has more of a '70s feeling to it. The genre may have been popular in the early '80s as well, but it undoubtedly originated in the '70s.

@@BIGAMBERFAN It's early 80s post-disco for me. There was still a lot of disco flavor in music from the early 80s.

Ever since youtube played Loretta while I was working a dead end job, I have been filled with happiness. I love this song. So upbeat, but such a bittersweet messaging. It is funny when you perform this song live, you thank the CZcams algorithm, like lol.
