another fantastic video olly love the header on the combine does such an amazing job so nice to see the day to day running of a farm keep up the good work stay safe and well.
Really hope this channel rockets into the hundreds of thousands. There’s only you & Mike Mitchell that upload all the time and both extremely good content and both extremely hard working.
Went the gym and went clothes shoping brought some lovely clothes. 😍. Enjoying the videos after olly I shall have to try and vist one weekend your sun flower maze.x
Regarding the pigeon problem years ago in Hale there was a pigeon shoot for the 4 weeks in February with guns in every woods, this kept them moving around from wood to wood allowing the guns to shoot them and thin them out. Perhaps this should take place again with all the local farms to get together and organise a pigeon shoot to thin them out. Good video Olly, glad the maze is doing ok.
I’ve spent all day on a harvested barley field metal detecting, didn’t find much but got loads of peace, quiet and fresh air. Sets me up for work tomorrow morning but might go back tomorrow afternoon, one of the perks of being semi-retired.
Spent Sunday concreting some footings for a shed & it was too warm, missed vid last night as had gone to bed so watched while having breakfast at 3.30am
Love the combine harvester videos. I was on holiday in Cornwall travone at a farm b&b. The owner had a claas harvester. And I was fortunate to sit with him while he harvested. In conversation he told me the wheat was made to make pasta and Jamie Oliver used it in his restaurants. Great video Ollie 👍🏻
80% today. Been a good one. From knebworth Hertfordshire. Always wanted to be a farmer but now I’m the scaffold life. Love the vids. 100000 subs here we come!!
Another great video. We've cut our grass seed now finally but the weather has turned against us, but we have been pressing on with our lavender harvest which is going well. Look forward to seeing more videos. Regards to the family and crew
Keep it up bud. You are doing some nice video work, The "cut to the chase" editing and videography are getting better, It has its moments but loving it so far. Oliva is a name for "gatherer" = Farming. My surname has farming traditions and it does make me feel proud to know 100`s of years later I have in some way still carrying out the same job description in some form or manner. Top Job 👍👍
Hi another great video of harvesting please can you wish Joshua jefferson happy 6th birthday for tomorrow he's watched every video at least twice many thanks keep the videos coming 👍
Great vid as always, good to see people enjoying the sunflowers. I've spent the week isolating due to testing positive for rona, but back to work and the pub on Tuesday. lol
I went for a drive out this morning and visited Tom Pemberton' s farm shop and got some goodies for a midweek BBQ then spent the afternoon building a pallet compost bin then drank some cold beer 🍺😃😃
I've been doing something really interesting! I've travelled to Yorkshire from Cornwall to do England selection shoot. Been trying to get into the England clay pigeon shooting team 😊
Laser pilot is very handy; I remember the first day I was getting used to our 460 evolution, the machine suddenly turned down a tramline on splicing ground rather than going straight on. It took me a few seconds to figure out what went on.
Had the day off here in Hertfordshire, due to overnight rain and rain this morning, so doing jobs at home and relaxing before the next rush of combining the OSR. Did 300 acres of W Barley this week and made a start on the OSR, our Wheats are two weeks away at least.
If you had the rain we had last night (south Somerset)you would'nt have been combining today, it really chucked it down for a while but dry and cloudy today. My sunflowers in the garden still have not flowered, but nearly there.
Chopped 2nd cut Monday Tuesday. Spread a little fertiliser for 3rd cut. Baled up 13 bales hay, sprayed off grass field to reseed. 6 cows calved and looking after the robots!! Sunday rest though!
Been stripping down the front end of my car today, got a bit of damage that needs putting right 😬 Hope you get the drying floor up and running soon; must be such a boon to be able to dry grain with minimal fuel cost.
Brilliant video again, you will soon have the havest cleaned up the way you are going, how many land do you farm, we had just over 3000, a lot of land to black over each year, 77% today feeling ok
Thanks Olly, showers here today, but gave everyone a break, son was invited to the local Land Rover Experience to try the latest Discovery, he loved it!!!! Take care.
I will book a visit in with the kids to the sunflower 🌻 maze this week. A great cause 👍🏻Yes clean that grease off the windscreen please I keep thinking your about to mow down Gordon the gopher
Ashby de la zouch isn’t the furthest from the sea… it’s Colton in the elms in Derbyshire lol I was always told it was the field behind my house because when I was younger they actually thought it was ( that’s in high earcall, Shropshire)
That’s madness on the part of the DVLA it would be simple to ensure that the plate remained with the machine whether it’s a combine, tractor or whatever but of course they can only work to a rule book!! And yes when I saw the original plate I thought that’s great but alas the idea has been snookered by those people at the DVLA who make the rules.
Hi Olly, the two wheels on the back of the header, they appear to move up and down but not side to side, question is what stops the tire from coming off the rim when turning with the header down ?
Hi Olly, been carting wheat from fields adjoining Alder lane, nice and dry at 15%. Witnessed some idiot driving the wrong way up Alder lane. They got halfway up and sh#t themselves, ended up turning round and going the right way. Could have caused a bad accident that... Used a Merlo for the first time too. Only a second hand one but it's still in good nick and does a great job. Glad the maze is going well 👍
Hi, would it be worth getting in local gun clubs to shoot the pigeons? When I used to live in Wexford, Ireland 🇮🇪 I used to shoot a lot of pigeons a month before harvest. You were the farmer’s friend! I’ve being in Canada 🇨🇦 for over 12 years and it sounds like the pigeon population has increased immensely.
I went out in Manchester Saturday night and left the club I was in, in under 2 minutes. It was genuinely scary. Annoyed too, considered going to the sunflower maze but decided to go for a walk instead closer to home! When date is it open until?
Ollie it's not Ashby it's actually shortheath witch is 3.5 miles away is the furthest from the sea in all directions as I used live in the next village
Did you hear about the about the Lexion in Meath that went on fire in Ireland last week 11 hrs on the clock. I remembered the Claas guys were a few days with you and I assume his dealer did the same for that guy . I read about it this morning sad .

Bird bangers are a great way to deter piegons, they are super effective over here in Cambridgeshire
Another great video today olly, i have been helping my dad colect some blown down tree for fire wood from a farm
Love the combine harvester videos.

I've spent the week isolating due to testing positive for rona, but back to work and the pub on Tuesday. lol
Hi Ollie, I think I am one of the first to see your, daily video which I like to watch here in Cornwall.
I went for a drive out this morning and visited Tom Pemberton' s farm shop and got some goodies for a midweek BBQ then spent the afternoon building a pallet compost bin then drank some cold beer 🍺😃😃
You need to find some people with hawks or kestrels to come and hunt around you farm
Great idea, although haven't met anyone with a trained hawk or falcon 😂 specialised at catching piegons
@@jack_sugg_agriphotography send them up hungry.... Nature can kick in :)
I'm so gutted for you about your number plate it looked so smart when it was on such a shame but loving the videos 👍

Watching from Greater Manchester
Laser pilot is very handy; I remember the first day I was getting used to our 460 evolution, the machine suddenly turned down a tramline on splicing ground rather than going straight on. It took me a few seconds to figure out what went on.

I have been carting and stacking quadrants all weekend clearing land ready to apply chicken muck before drilling osr.
Had the day off here in Hertfordshire, due to overnight rain and rain this morning, so doing jobs at home and relaxing before the next rush of combining the OSR. Did 300 acres of W Barley this week and made a start on the OSR, our Wheats are two weeks away at least.

I have been on a tractor run near Bakewell in the Peak District as well as milking my cows.
Farm channel number 7. Watched Dove farms, farmer P,George Saunders, Lord Muck, A Norfolk farmer, and Harry's farm already today.
Rookie numbers😂😂😂 What about 'its a farming life for me'?
@@liammapletoft4946 tom pemberton?
I suppose it’s not so bad cutting high moisture wheat when you’re using biomass for fuelling your drying. Absolute belter of an idea 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Tiling the bathroom fitting kitchen watering grass seed I sowed Wednesday ( yes it’s the wrong time of year but I got water so happy days)👍🏻👍🏻
I was watching the combine on Friday then Saturday they’re finished up then they were drawing one load of grain and I am 100%
great video Olly , i spent the day watching the British superbikes on tv , should have been outside to be honest . will do the farm tour next
Spent the day sea kayaking today, very entertaining 👍😂
Been stripping down the front end of my car today, got a bit of damage that needs putting right 😬 Hope you get the drying floor up and running soon; must be such a boon to be able to dry grain with minimal fuel cost.

John from Cornwall.
We haven’t been harvesting today so I have spent all day mowing the lawn and watching olympics.
Brilliant video again, you will soon have the havest cleaned up the way you are going, how many land do you farm, we had just over 3000, a lot of land to black over each year, 77% today feeling ok

Wow 4”
Hi I’m new here I’m from Ireland
Could you do a video showing the drying process or if you already have which video is it in
Will you be harvesting the sunflower fields? Could be a 'pick your own' birdseed set up?
Ashby de la zouch isn’t the furthest from the sea… it’s Colton in the elms in Derbyshire lol I was always told it was the field behind my house because when I was younger they actually thought it was ( that’s in high earcall, Shropshire)
I think there is much debate on this in Certain towns
Being leading corn all day
Bit of maintenance on me cab. Swapping out drop links on the anti roll bar plus a few other bits and pieces. Not much else tbh.
That’s madness on the part of the DVLA it would be simple to ensure that the plate remained with the machine whether it’s a combine, tractor or whatever but of course they can only work to a rule book!! Great video again I am fighting a battle against those pesky pigeons on my allotment stripped my broad beans right to a bare stalk
Do you have to use the Auger and the belt at once on the header? Would you use them separately?
Hi Olly, the two wheels on the back of the header, they appear to move up and down but not side to side, question is what stops the tire from coming off the rim when turning with the header down ?
Just driven from Wiltshire to the Lake District on a space saver wheel.......very slowly
Doh
Great video olly them bloody pigeons are a nuisance you need a few sparrow hawks sort them out
70% today. I've been having a sort out and I have realised how much rubbish I have been keeping.
Big skip on order tomorrow 😂
Been cutting osr why the weather holding

Glad the maze is going well 👍
Who’s merlo ?
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer Phil Walton's
Why are you using the revolving table auger on wheat while you used belts? when cutting barley?
Yep the dvla numberplate stuff is nonsense they need to sort it out
Barnsley the framer was has being his barely the other night with new Holland combine
How did you get on with challenging for the price of the wheat where they said your moisture was higher? Great videos Olly
