  • I love EVERY logo compilation on here, so I decided to distill it to just the jingles that would come down the pike every fall until things dried up and we stopped paying attention (shout out to ABC: first to play to the idea of a "demographic", first to use jingles for TV ads, first to phase them out.)
a few edits I had to make:
*"We're the One!" is comprised of two different parts because i could only find a poor quality rip of the original intro
*"Still The One v2" has the last five seconds overdubbed with a rip from the 7" promo vinyl (shout out to Joe Panfolfi) to give the full ending.
*i originally added as a bonus at the end the full version of Aretha and Leon Russell's "We Belong Together" (the song got me into this genre of jingles!) but i decided instead to do a bit of editing and have it play over the promo and let the full ending play out with the logo
*the '91 campaign is included in both VaultMasterDBT's custom version (comprised from local ads with different lyrics) and the full promo (which doesn't have much, honestly)
*i took out the three "Special Feeling" promos (it wasn't until the 5th time watching this that i realized it's really the same thing 3x) and added the rare "Grandpa" one because it seemed to be the longest
*shout out to Apotheoun, eyeontv, Sloan's TV Archive and the many others!!

Well done ! Greatly appreciate all the Net Fall Campaign Promos. Brings back a lot of memories. While working at ABC and CBS was involved in the editing of some of the spots.

Well done indeed! And don't let anyone tell you that these weren't appreciated by the affiliates. I had recently left a struggling NBC affiliate to move to an ABC station in deep south Texas about the time "You and Me" hit. Well produced promos like this were certainly great for station morale, as we realized that we had a network that was ready to spend time and money to support us!

Come this September was my favourite jingle growing up-it was what made me want to be a pro singer as an adult. But that last one-America’s Watching-SO soulful! Jennifer Holliday (or it might be Jocelyn Brown?) is amazing!

Good God, Henry Winkler (in 1980) looked exactly like Ellis from the first Die Hard movie. And for those of you wondering why Burgess Meredith was also there in the 1980 jingle, he was on a short lived show called Those Amazing Animals which also starred Priscilla Presley and Jim Stafford. It was sort of a spin-off of That's Incredible. But nowhere near as interesting.
It's also kinda interesting ABC left out Twin Peaks from their 1991 campaigns when (at least during the 1990 season) it was one of their highest rated, and most talked about programs. But it was also the year the brief Twin Peaks/Who Killed Laura Palmer craze came crashing down in spectacular fashion.

Henry Winkler seemed to always have a beard during the Fall image promo shoots that were done during the Summer. I think he was only clean shaven for Come On Along.

Twin Peaks was canceled in the spring of 1991, so it wouldn't have been featured in the 1991-92 campaign. You do see glimpses of Kyle MacLachlan in the 1990 "America's Watching" video, though.

What does ABC mean by the image of the Statue of Liberty featured in this video at 33:59? is it singling it out because of New York? (i.e. highlighting the ABC headquarters site) or because the statue is a symbol of the United States?

that and by the early to mid '90s, networks felt more comfortable just licensing music or sometimes doing instrumental stuff instead.
