That wasn't an attack they were warning him... They are very protective animals and that guy was at the wrong place at the wrong time... If that would have been an attack the man would have been flattened and so would the bike... They were just protecting themselves like any other animal would do... That picture at the end is actually pretty cool if you question why he's holding his hands together because it is a part of Buddhist/Thai gesture just like saying "Please forgive me " type of way, he's clearly implying for the elephant to give him mercy with this apologetic gesture and a sign of respect, it may not have worked but its just a amazing picture to say the least. That setting makes them seem like dinosaurs ahah

The elephants are Not attacking, they are PROTECTING the herd since there are infant elephant in the group. Is very important ot understand what the animal is doing in a situation like this.

Their behavior is very emotional but not very different from what it would be if a baby elephant had issued a distress call. It is of course very happy that this young man was not really attacked. Above all, it is not territorial defense but they were deceived by the noise from the bike, probably those close to infrasounds they also emit.

1) บิ๊กไบค์นี่ เขาให้ขับในถนนปกตินี่ ความเร็วไม่เกินเท่าไหร่ครับ เพราะผมเห็นทุกคันจะขับด้วยความเร็วสูงมาก ขนาดบางคันขับมาประมาณ 100 บิ๊กไบค์แซงเว็บเดียวทิ้งไม่เห็นฝุ่นเลย
2) เสียงของรถจักรยานยนต์ควรมีความดังไม่เกินเท่าไหร่ เพราะผมทำงานเป็นครู เด็กแต่งรถมา ผมก็จับ/ตักเตือน รถเด็กเสียงดัง ผมก็จับ/ตักเตือน แต่รถบิ๊กไบค์ เสียงดังพอๆ กับรถเด็ก บางคันถ้าเร่งด้วยอัตราที่เท่ากัน เสียงอาจจะดังกว่าด้วยซ้ำ
3) เวลารถผิดกฎหมายตามข้อด้านบน รถทั่วไป/รถเด็กที่แต่ง(ตามกำลังทรัพย์ ไม่กี่บาท) ตำรวจจับ แล้วรถพี่บิ๊กไบด์ ไม่เห็นมีใครจับ เห็นแต่ชื่นชม ออกข่าวว่าเท่ รวมกลุ่มกันไปทำอันโน้นอันนี้ ขนาดคันเดียวยังแย่ นี่รวมกันเป็นสิบ เป็นร้อย พอๆ กับสนามแข่งรถเลยครับ
4) ขอเสนอว่า บิ๊กไบคถ้าอยากขับ ไปขับในสนาม เหมือนที่เราเคยรณรงค์เด็กแวนส์ เมื่อก่อนนี้ ถ้าจะรวมกลุ่มกันไปทำกิจกรรม ขับรถธรรมดาดีมั้ยครับที่เสียงไม่ดังมาก รถยนต์ก็ได้ หรือว่าขับแล้วทำบุญไม่ได้....?
5) ทำดีให้เด็กเห็น เป็นตัวอย่างให้เด็กดู แล้วจะได้ไม่มาว่า...ครูทำไมไม่สอนเด็ก ก็สอนจนปากจะฉีกแล้วครับ สอนไปแล้ว กลับไปเห็นตัวอย่างที่ไม่พึงประสงค์ ทั้งในบ้าน ในชุมชน ในสื่อต่างๆ แม้จะบอกว่าก็เรามีคำเตือนแล้วค่ะ ผู้ปกครองควรพิจารณา ถามว่าปัจจุบันผู้ปกครองได้อยู่คอยบอกเด็กมั้ย แล้วละครบางเรื่องมันยาวนะครับ กว่าเด็กจะได้เห็นตอนจบที่ผู้ร้ายตาย หรือได้รับผลกรรม ก็เอาพฤติกรรมตอนร้ายๆ ไปใช้ซะแล้ว แถมนักแสดงก็แสดงซะเกินจริง ยิ่งการแสดงออกทางใบหน้าและร่างกาย เอาซะไม่รู้เลยว่าเขาไปโกรธใครมา บางทีนางเอกก็ร้ายซะเอง

Their behavior is very emotional but not very different from what it would be if a baby elephant had issued a distress call. It is of course very happy that this young man was not really attacked. I've worked with a number of elephants, Asian and African. Those kinds of small machinery noises really seem to annoy and frighten them; especially the Asians. But by God they are beautiful animals.
