  • The seventh season of Talk SA will air on SABC2 every Tuesday for 26 weeks from 5th April 2016 at 10h30. The weekly travelling talk show covers many topics that directly and indirectly affect all South Africans. Some being freedom and human rights, religion in society, HIV and AIDS, housing, skin lightening, mental and physical health, educational rights, culture and heritage and much, much more.
We take a step back in time and explore the villages of Wupperthal and Heuningvlei, which lies in the heart of the Tra-Tra Valley, and discover how these communities, in collaboration with government and private companies, are using their heritage and culture to develop a community-based eco tourism project to create more sustainable livelihoods for the village’s residents.

They should be careful with the facts. The buildings are not pre-colonial. During the pre-colonial period the indigenous Khoekhoe people lived in round huts covered with reed mats. The whitewashed houses with thatched roofs came about under the Dutch influence as well as the German missionaries. People living here are descendants (check your spelling) of the indigenous people - the Khoekhoe and San found here (although the missionaries may have laid an egg or two) . I have not watched the whole insert but the start is not very good to say the least.
